Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were in town for a college visit and were told to go here because it is so amazing. We were not that impressed. First it was a 2 hour wait on a Thursday night which was ok because we called ahead and were notified...when our table was ready. Parking was awful... had to pay to park which there should be some kind of reimbursement set up through the restaurant for those stuck paying to park to eat at their restaurant. My husband ordered the duck flatbread and was told they were out of duck. He wound up getting the salmon which was just ok. I got the Sunday Lasagna and it was just ok a lot of meat and thick cut which is not my idea of lasagna. My daughter got the ravioli and liked that a lot. My son got the chicken alfredo and it wasn't very good and was almost tasteless. We were seated by the bar/kitchen and it was super loud so if you are looking for a quiet dining experience where you can hear each other talk this is not it. Our service was just ok...not bad not great just ok... We would not return and would try something different when traveling back to that area.More

Food was great and service incredible, totally recommend the place! The Sunday sauce lasagna was quite a good surprise and the sauce and bread serve as an opener is really a good idea. The place feels Italian, thanks Nicky and all

Was in Syracuse for the last day of a big trip tbh. And it was a great way to cap things off. Loved the complimentary bread and sauce they give you. And then we even ended up ordering it as well as another appetizer. The...place had long waits so I knew it’d be good. And then had meatballs for appetizer as well. And then had a spaghetti those thing with noodles, red sauce and had chicken and sausage both in mine. Big pieces but it was good. And topped it off with pecan brownie sundae which was delicious. I went there starving and left full. Was very good. I’d def recommend. And I get Shirley temples and they had a Shirley temple in a bottle. Never seen that before. But that’s pretty cool as well lol.More

My buddy & I were exploring the Syracuse downtown area as an early Christmas experience. We arrived around 5 in the evening to a charming and festive atmosphere. Splitting an order of meatballs and the chicken parm was just the right amount to share. My...favorite, however, was the bread and tomato/oil dipping sauce. I plan on finding a place to buy several jars of the sauce to give for Christmas gifts! Also, the service was exemplary. We were promptly seated and our order was taken. The young man who served the bread & oil was charming and checked on us several times. Our waitress was very efficient in getting our drinks, putting in our order, and serving our meal. The food was excellent and the service was great. Fortunately, we were staying at a nearby hotel and did not have to find parking. I will be returning to try more menu items!More

My wife and I planned and were looking forward to a takeout dinner from Pastabilities. We reviewed the online menu several times, and settled upon two pasta selections. Their website indicates their hours are 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm....At 4:15 pm, I tried to order online, and only after making the selections, completing my name , phone number, and credit card info was I notified that online ordering was not available. Not exactly the way I would run a business.More

My husband and I were stopping through Syracuse and Pastabilities was highly recommended by TripAdvisor. The food and service were fabulous. I have an onion allergy and the servers and manager/owner double checked recipes and the chefs to ensure there were no onions. The food...was delicious. I highly recommend this family owned/women owned restaurant in Syracuse.More

Consistently amazing and delicious, particularly the chicken riggies which are flavorful and filling. Also, always a must to buy a jar of hot tom sauce for the road.

I don’t know who the cook is but the chicken riggies are made too hot that you can’t even eat them. I have not been back since. I don’t even send people there anymore.

We have tried multiple times to eat here and every time the line was out the door. We arrived at 2 minutes after it opened and we were able to seat ourselves. Then who we thought was our waitress came over with waters and said...we had to scan the QR code and order and pay that way. That was fine but we had questions about the menu and I felt like we were inconveniencing them. Once we ordered the food was out in no more than 5 minutes ~ wow! Then time to pay the bill ~ all done on the phone ~I thought I forgot to tip (who I was tipping I don't know~ but still have to tip right) but the tip was built in right to the check we didn't have an option on how much (to let you know it was just over 20% they put in for). Again I usually do 20% but who gets the tip since we didn't have a server and what if the food or service was bad and I wouldn't want to leave that about?! The food was delicious and wait time for it was ridiculously quick but the lack of service and I had to find my own take home boxes ~ kind of missed the customer service part of my lunch. Since in city you have to pay for parking either in a lot or the side of the road~ have $$ on hand for this.More

Poorly managed restaurant - do not waste your time. Checked-in to the restaurant, in person, at 5:35 PM for a table of 3. We were advised it would be a 45 minute wait. We were not given a table until 7:36 PM! We were told...although many tables were indeed open (July 7, 2023), they had a staffing issue. We happily gave our money ($247.00) to their competitors. Poorly managed restaurant by people who Do Not Value Your Time!More

You call this Italian food? Please. I have been to Italy and the dishes here at laughable. I have eaten better pasta in Prague. The chicken was uneatable and dry, the pasta was overcooked, overall just dreadful.

My wife and I wanted to go some place special for our anniversary and this place was the first on our list. Making the reservations online was super easy. When we walked in the front door you could feel the energy inside. They really know...how to keep people moving. We let the people at the front door know that we were there and we only had to wait a few minutes to get seated. My wife ordered a Cosmo and I ordered a Manhattan. Both were excellent. Our Server Dan was on top of every part of our dinner. Dan was always checking on us to make sure we didn’t need anything. The place, the server and the meal all get 5 out of 5. Great Job!More
