Since first coming to the Pie Shack in 2012, I have found their pies to be inconsistent. Some seem to be hand tossed, while others (especially lately) are just stretched out on a marble counter top. Sometimes cooked perfectly, other times underdone. Also, the last time I was there, they served an 18" pie that was only 17", that's a... More

We were visiting Syracuse and wanted an easy evening with pizza in the hotel. This was a lot harder than anticipated b/c NOTHING in the downtown area is open on a Sunday. This was the closest open, non-chain pizza place we could find. The place is a hole in the wall, but the pizza isn't bad. Not the best we've... More

The ONLY problem I could find with Pie Shack is that once you go, you won't be able to look at any other pizza the same way. Recently moved the to neighborhood and was looking a new pizza place. Found this place online and gave it a shot. Pizza was good but the wings and garlic knots brought my rating higher. I would go back again.

Not quite a NYC pizza, but very close. Ultra-thin pie that is foldable with tasty crust and a decent sauce. The cheese has a shell-like plastic texture as it cools down, but is flavorful. Overall, this is one of the better pies in Syracuse and definitely the thinnest! Worth a try. Their wings are also pretty good at a very... More
