My friends and I were staying for a weekend in Schenectady. We needed some good food since we were doing an RKC kettlebell certification. Cornells was extremely good and also healthy. They cook and use very good olive oils so for those who are picky....More

Whenever I'm in the area for a show at Proctor's, I always visit Cornell's for dinner beforehand. The service has always been great, the food is consistently great, and the atmosphere is very welcoming and comfortable. I've been here with a group of 4, and...More

Had dinner with friends at Cornell’s. Located in little Italy in Schenectady with a nice atmosphere. Food was good but not great to my taste. My favorite in Schenectady area is Cannalis which I use as a barometer for Italian food.

Braciole,if you liked it you don't know braciole! A tube of cheese sausage wrapped with a slice of DELI roast beef. Inedible! Squid was both baby, undercooked, and tough. How can you do that? If you know Italian food you know this place is a SHAM!!

We celebrated our anniversary at Cornell's last week, and they outdid themselves once again. The ambiance is always great, as is the food, which is why I went with the seared sea scallops, a favorite from former visits. It was again seasoned and cooked to...More

Had the pleasure of dining at this little slice of heaven before attending a show at proctors. Two of the three owners happened to be there. They were extremely gracious and accommodating. The delicious parmesan food was served promptly. We discovered a treasure of a...More

Visited this well- known restaurant in Schenectady's Little Italy for a family dinner recently and, once again, was not disappointed. Began with appetizers of fried calamari, Utica greens and arancini, all excellent and setting the tone for the entrees to follow. My son and daughter...More

Description
"Timeless Classic Italian Food" interspersed with "New World" Italian Regional Cuisine. Analogy~Sophia Loren & Frank Sinatra meet Lidia Bastanich & Mario Batali. Since 1943,generations of loyal patrons, friends and their families have enjoyed the traditional dishes of Cornells Restaurant. The robust aroma of food cooking on the stove would draw them in to sit down and enjoy old world Italian food. Today this tradition continues. Modeled after the simple restaurants in Italy, this neighborhood establishment is warm, inviting, comfortable and unpretentious.
