My husband, 11 year old son, and I stayed in Woodstock for a week this October during our year-long travels. When our business friends from NYC came for a day-visit we made a reservation at the Red Onion, as it seemed like the nicest spot...More

This is a truly fantastic restaurant--it has great decor, indoor and outdoor seating, a deep drinks and wine menu, and truly delicious (and large!) seasonal, locally-sourced food. I had dinner with friends and wished I had time to dine here again. It's a great date...More

Since we live nearby we visit the Red Onion fairly often. The food and service are always top notch. It's a very "Woodstock " place in my view; cozy but classy, and comfortable. The wait staff are terrific - friendly & knowledgeable, attentive but not...More

We recently ate here at the recommendation of servers in another excellent establishment. We were not disappointed. First, the building is a beautiful old house, with what definitely looked like original floors and woodwork. Ambiance is always appreciated. We had reservations, but arrived early to...More

Our group of 9 seniors loved this restaurant. Not always easy for 9 people to be very happy with their meals, but this was great. Lots of variety for everyone. Good service, good food. I don't think you can go wrong. Deserves its high rating.

These folks know how to run a restaurant. We've been going here since they'd opened, years ago. Great ambience and lighting, with a fireplace and nice local photography. I always bring friends and family here. Excellent food, great specials, and excellent service. They have a...More

We've lived in the area for close to ten years and have always heard the Red Onion wax good, but have never gone. We finally went and were pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. The carrot ginger soup was excellent as was the Arugala...More
