This place doesn't do trends. The menu is pure comfort food, the wait staff is unfailingly excellent, and the décor reminds me a lot of a little place I went to in Greenwich Village in the late 60's, before kitschy-eclectic was even heard of. I've taken full-on foodies there, and they were happy with the food. I've been there often... More

Been here a few times. It's old and dated inside and starting to look dirty. The food is average; not bad. The buffet is nothing spectacular. A bit pricy for what you get. Very nice staff. Won't be back. Definitely better Italian food around.

Once again, dinner here is okay. It's a area landmark which says something. The quaintness of the kitchy decor can get old with average food. It seems food in much of this part of NY is VERY heavy and greasy. Nick's is no exception. The Greens and Beans is a staple. But greasy. Service is good. Lot's of regulars from... More

Brought a date to Nick's and was seated by Nick himself! The waitress gave up plenty of time to order and the food we ordered was excellent. We could barely finish it! The soup and salad bar are HIGHLY recommended and going back for seconds is not a problem. You can get stuffed right at the salad bar! No waiting... More

Very 'home' atmosphere for our family to gather after a Memorial Service. Buffet Dinner was over the top and food excellent. Staff were cordial and very very efficient. We were from out of town but will definitely go back. Look forward to meeting cousins from the area in having a wonderful meal and get together. Thank you for your kindness.

We ate at Nick's for dinner. Most of our party chose the dinner buffet. There are a lot of items to choose from and it's all freshly cooked. This restaurant has been run by the same family for years. You can tell that it's a favorite with the people who live nearby. If you are looking for seafood, there aren't... More

We where hoping for a nice romantic seafood dinner. At best it was dinner food. The menu was hard to read (all different spacing, font that is too elaborate). The salad bar had moldy cut onions, the carrot side tasted stale and the onions should not be thrown In with the carrots. The pork was ok but the steak my... More

The homemade croutons MAY make me go back one day. A very good salad bar. I love that it's a family owned & operated place, & Nick is a very proud man. It's hard for me to get past the dingy decor however, the loud dining room (we sat at a table in the bar thank heavens), & the sticky... More
