Le Petit Bistro is located smack in the middle of beautiful Rhinebeck. Le Petit Bistro has the typical bistro vibe - crowded, tightly packed small tables and noisy. We were quickly seated and informed that tonight they had $1 oysters. Sold! We started with a...More

This is a good restaurant. We made reservations way in advance but were first offered a table in the bar. Staff got a bit huffy when we asked for a table in the restaurant side. We were given a table....small and not well located but...More

We reserved for 6:45 pm and the place was packed with a great vibe.Walt had a deliciously prepared rack of lamb and I had the best shakshuka ever! Did I mention they mix a great lemon-drop martini ...go and enjoy! We had a great evening.

I can only imagine the Chef - on his day off - researching new ways of preparing and presenting food. There is always something new and exciting on the menu, every time we go! "Local" tops our list. Our kudos extend to the bartender and...More

The service was excellent, we had been warned of the "noisy" atmosphere so that was okay. There was a nice menu but with a huge assortment of specials as appetizers and entrees. I have had better escargot and my veal entree was good, but I...More

Joseph is one of Rhinebeck's best chefs! Recently he and his wife Jenn expanded and renovated the restaurant and it is busier than ever. If you are in Rhinebeck don't miss dinner at Le Petit Bistro.

Fried or shucked fresh. It's a winner! Add a nicely priced and made martini and its a slice of heaven in downtown Rhinebeck! A bit loud at the bar area, but what do you expect when you meet AND converse with new and old friends...More

Always looked forward to a meal here during our annual trip to Rhinebeck. Their expansion is a disaster. TOO LOUD. If I had wanted at NYC restaurant experience I could have stayed in NYC. Food was a disappointment also. Seems to have fallen into a...More

We had midweek luck and got a reservation at Le Petit Bistro. Great service, great food. Right in the center of town. I had the gently fried squash blossoms as an appetizer -- only available for a short time. My husband had veal == excellent....More

Bring a megaphone if you sit in the new area. It is so loud you can barely hear the person across from you.

I'm also not sure. BUT (or AND) in the next few weeks, everyone should call ahead to make sure they are open; they are expanding, taking over the store next door (on the corner), and I don't know how long construction will... More
