For many years, Lepetit was a place we could count on for excellent food and service. After a few years absence, we returned to a pretty dismal experience. To cut to the chase, my wife and I both ordered the pheasant.. It was almost inedible....It was tough as leather and dried out to the point where I wondered whether it was reheated from the night before. As for the service, it was pedestrian at best. After serving the main course, the waiter never returned to check on how the dinner was. When he came by after a while to collect the plates after we stopped attempting to eat our dinner, he asked my wife "How was your dinner?" My wife replied "Not very good" to which he replied "Well, that's too bad" and quickly walked away. Before writing this review, which we never intended to do, my wife made two calls to the restaurant to express our concerns about how poor our dinner was to the ownership/management. Both times, we were blown off and ownership/management never returned our calls. If you are looking for a special dining experience, which used to be the case for Lepetit, you may want to go somewhere else. For us, there is nothing special about being overcharged for a lousy meal and so-so service.More

After not going out for a while we ventured out for a quick dinner with friends. Tables were well spaced apart, I didn't feel like we were on top of our neighbors. Dinner was delicious and the hot bread and butter hit the spot. Cocktails...were wonderful and to finish our meal we had the creme brûlée. Best I've ever had! Can't wait to get back to this happening spot.More

My husband called to make reservations well in advance to celebrate my birthday. When we arrived, they gave us the WORST table imaginable! It was jammed in a corner right by the kitchen door. Also, we’d have to sit next to each other! We couldn’t...even converse properly. When I explained that this was for my birthday and there’s no way we could have known to pick a specific table because we live FIVE hours away, they had no sympathy. I asked about a couple of tables that looked like they would be vacant and the answer was no, no, no.They did offer to give us an outdoor table due to a cancellation, but I was already so aggravated and it was very cold out. We left, went a few doors down to The Amsterdam and was treated like ROYALTY! (I left a review for them and you can see why). If you’d prefer a place with no attitude, I’d suggest a pass on this place.More

We were drawn in by the classic French chalkboard touting the oysters available, as we were both in the mood for oysters. We had our delicious dozen and moved on to beautiful French bistro entrees and wine. My husband's duck was perfectly roasted and delicious....My fish was equally as good. Came back again the next night where I had rack of lamb and my husband tried the pork mignon. Both absolutely delicious. Great wines. Very good service. Charming, warm atmosphere. We would definitely return if we're in the area. Easy to see why it's popular.More

We had a perfect dinner at Le petit Bistro. Their wine list is extensive. I had a wine from Lebanon. It was delicious.. Our meal was delicious and service was wonderful. We can't wait to get back in October.

What an enjoyable evening. The food was delicious, the price was reasonable, the people watching was a kick and the service was so special. The wait staff were all very engaging and hospitable. We sat outside and it was such a nice setting. Definitely worth...a return visit.More

The food was ok: we had the escargots (which were good) and sardines (which were ok) followed by some average entrees (which were forgettable). But it was so unbelievably slow that it ultimately stopped operating as a restaurant altogether. 25 mins from being seated to...be asked if we wanted a pre-dinner drink. We asked the constantly circulating kids with the bread to find someone with no luck. Towards the end our waiter explained the desserts and promised to return in two minutes. 35 minutes later we gave up waiting for any kind of service and went inside to pay the bill. Sadly, I’d rather go to Walmart than waste my time at Le Petit Bistro again.More

Try the oysters! Oh and the other menu items too such as the mussels. The mushroom pasta was outstanding.

Is country-French cuisine able to travel 15 minutes back to the homestead during the current "shelter-in-place"? The answer is yes!. I ordered my all-time favorite LPB dish -- cassoulet. My wife ordered duckling with black currant sauce. Both just as excellent as had we dined...at the restaurant. LPB has become our every-Saturday go-to place.More

We are all living in a new era where restaurants are closed and we all miss the easy access. I tried out the Bistro's takeout menu today and can confirm that the old menu might be now limited, but the take home version is just...as good! I'm glad I stopped. Different offerings daily.More
