Fantastico!!!

Food is absolutely amazing and described perfectly by the lady co-owner. Possibly the best authentic restaurant I have ever eaten in, absolute gem! Totally relaxed atmosphere with authentic fresh made recipes by talented chefs. Lovely wine and excellent service. A definate 'must visit' restaurant whilst...on the island.More

Absolutely fabulous!!

Our go to restaurant in Santa Maria. Amazing food and hospitality. Barbara and Michele make you feel like family and we cannot wait to come back next year. Don’t miss it!!

Still as amazing as ever! Best authentic Italian on the island by far

My wife (who is Italian so has high standards for Italian cuisine) and I first stumbled upon this place a few years ago on our first visit. We are here several times(!). We came back on our second visit, again several times. We finally made...it back out to Sal after 2 years due to covid. This time with our baby (just as accommodating as when we were just a couple). The owner Barbara remembered us and was as wonderful as always. Barbara and her husband are Italian and most of the produce is imported from Italy, which you can taste in the food. It’s real Italian food in Cape Verde. What more can you ask for?! Highly recommend the carpaccio by the way!More

Best restaurant in Cabo Verde

Best restaurant in Cabo verde! Me and my friend went here on our last day here, and we wished we came here sooner. If you like Italian food you will love this place!! We both loved everything from starters to dessert, and the whole experience...felt like a part of Italy. Highly recommend!!!!More

Best restaurant in Cape Verde

Went to Baraonda twice during a recent trip to Cape Verde, as the first time was so good. Food was best quality we had anywhere, service was super-friendly. I have a couple of tricky food allergies and they were extremely accommodating and very clear at...explaining how the food was prepared and ingredients used. A must-visit, you won't regret it.More

Love it!

Good quality and delicious Italian cuisine. All fresh and home made. Amazing panacotta as desert and first of all nice and relax atmosphere with great service. Top place to have amazing dinner.

Delicious home made Tuscan treats

Fantastic. Italian food freshly home made. Tuna carpaccio was uniquely different to the local dish and beautify balance. Bruschetta and goats cheese starters also delicious. The highlight was the gnocchi… fresh and beautifully served with a tomato sauce.

Lovely Meal

This is the second time we have been to Baraonda and both experiences have been wonderful. Cannot fault the food and service. Barbara makes you feel so welcome and is the perfect hostess. Looking forward to our next visit already!
