Good fish (and rice!), funny waitress, live music, tourists and locals eating there, house wine not too bad and all at a good price. Maybe the best quality / price on the island?

Went here one night during our holiday and lovely friendly place with entertainment on. ((Guitarist) decided to have a meal, I had steak in sauce which was lovely but my wife had a fantastic seafood spaghetti dish. She loved it. Would definitely return again.
The worst food in Sal. Don’t eat here. Service very slow. Food cold and inedible. House wine not drinkable. This was the worst restaurant we have visited in years.
A good family run place to eat, down one of the alleys off the Main Street. The tables are close together and the restaurant small but it gets full quite quickly. There is live music to eat your dinner to and the waitress was friendly...and chatty. The food was delicious but be warned if you have the fish stew there are large bones still inside the fish which are quite hard to remove.More
There was a strange off-putting sweet smell from our food and from the table next to us, although the food itself tasted OK. Vegetable soup was served warm. The waitress asked if we would like bread then promptly forgot to bring it. The main course...arrived with the wrong vegetables on the plates and the food was just warm again. The fish and chicken were passable. There are many good reasonably priced restaurants in Santa Maria. The owners need to get their act sorted out with this one. Very average.More
Very good value food and excellent local music in the evening The lobster full meal is good value and the service is very good
A truly fantastic place. I am loathe to write this as I will be back there next week and it's already difficult to get a table between 19.00 and 21.30. Delicious fish dishes for £5.50 and cheap large beers (£2). The highlight is the fantastic...musicians who play there every night until 22.00. Its a bit cramped and always crowded because its so brilliant.More
Tucked into an alley off the main drag, Pubim has good food at very reasonable prices accompanied by excellent live music. The seating can be a little cramped and no one would confuse this with fine dining. The fish, however, Serra and grouper, was well...prepared and well seasoned, the price can’t be beat, and the music amongst the best we heard in Cape Verde.More
Simple restaurant serving superb fresh fish. Don’t pay extra for fancy surroundings, go to this local restaurant for good food, good service and a fully satisfying meal
It's a good local chose to eat your lunch for a good price. And it's nice even in the evening with live music.
