We have enjoyed many good meals here. Mo and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. They will do your meal to the heat level you like. Lunch buffet is also very good. Variety of meat and vegetarian dishes.

Although there's another Indian buffet offering in the area that is pretty good, Taj Mahal might beat the competition, at least in terms of selection and variety. The food was quite tasty and competitively priced. While not an exhaustive selection, there was enough variety to satisfy-perhaps a half dozen entrees, along with rice and a few hot appetizers as part... More

We recently discovered this Taj Mahal restaurant in New Hartford, a wonderful choice for Indian cuisine in this region. They have a complete menu of a la carte dishes as well as a buffet option. Our entrees were expertly prepared and completely satisfying. And the wait staff are exceptionally attentive, too.

Had a very enjoyable meal on an early Saturday evening. Took out some students from Hamilton College in nearby Clinton. Uninspiring exterior but don't hesitate to enter! The two highlights were the Palak Paneer, a spicy, creamy spinach puree and the Chicken Vindaloo, with potatoes and a terrific sauce. And the Naan, of course! Nice portions and friendly service. My family and I have been here several times. Their food is consistently delicious and a favorite among Indian cuisine in the area. They have friendly staff and delicious Naan. Prices are reasonable with a convenient location.

I like to do buffets for Indian food as it gives me a chance to find what I like. Taj Mahal is clean, the food was tasty and not greasy like some of the other Indian restaurants in town. The selection on the lunch Buffett was limited, but was fresh. The owners were very attentive and friendly.

I have eaten Indian food in more than 20 upscale restaurants in America, from NYC to SF, and paid much more for food in most of them that is inferior to every one of the dozens of dishes I have enjoyed at the Taj Mahal Restaurant in New Hartford. Their daily lunch buffet features a different mix of delicious meat... More

I never dined at Taj Mahal under the old ownership. But under the new ownership Taj Mahal has become one of our go-to dining experiences. This is not your "every dish looks, smells, and tastes the same Indian takeout" that you will find in many restaurants. I've studied Indian cuisine at the Culinary Institute. And have traveled in India for... More
