Take time from walking the pretty streets of this town to grab some cheese, baguette and a coffee and chow down! They have a great selection of preserves, oils and vinegars too, and a small area with cafe tables to take a load off.

Many varieties of fresh cheese. They will give you samples to try if you ask. There are some tables in an enclosed part with skylights and many windows around you. Here you can have fresh fondue for example. Overall a great experience.

I love this place. I love the vast variety of cheeses as well as spreads and crackers to compliment the cheese. They provide samples which helps you decide what you do and don't like. It's in a great location right across from restaurants and next to a wine shop. It's definitely a great stop on your way to a local... More

As a cheese newbie, the woman at the Village Cheese Shop was extremely helpful in helping us find the perfect cheese to match out preferences. She helped us pack the perfect picnic!

Stopped in mid week-tried a few samples, bought a local hard cheese for about 20/lb. The prices looked reasonable until I noticed everything priced by the half a pound-I have never been in a cheese shop in the US where cheeses are priced that way. My local Wegmans sells mountain Gorgonzola for 5 dollars less a pound.

Hi; thanks for your review. We cannot purchase cheeses in high volume, plus, given our location, delivery is expensive. Lastly, we offer free tastings without limits, so, we need our margins to reflect our expenses. We hope to see you again, and, if we do, let me buy you a glass of wine as a gesture of thanks. Yours -... More

Really great place to get cheese, pate and other things. Well worth taking some time to ask questions and get some variety. Great and knowledgable staff.

The Italian cheese Fondue came with Bread and Apple slices, we also had some dried sausage and two glasses of French wine. Everything was very good but expensive.Their selection of cheese is quite extensive.

My son and I went here to try a very sharp cheddar. It didn't disappoint. You can eat here and have lunch, but we were just sampling a cheese. Wow!!! I bought some bread to try it with, which was annoying, but they don't give any out. The cheese was pricey because they only sell you a certain amount, but... More

The best place outside Manhattan for $25 per pound cheeses. A wide assortment, most of which are a bit obscure, and all in perfect eating shape. Knowledgeable staff will guide you with tastes to your perfect cheese board.

A great cheese shop! Must visit! The knowledge staff can help you with your selections. They have a very large variety of cheese to choose from. We will be sure to pick up some more cheese for the ride back home! Be sure to pick up some fig spread- bread- crostini's and crackers for your basket!
