We had a wonderful dinner of Mysore Masala Dosai, lamb Biriyani, chicken Chettinadu, and spinach dumplings in Korma sauce. Everything was delicious.

My daughter ( a Siena student) and I stopped in recently on a Sunday. At first I was disappointed that there was a buffet. As a rule, I do not like buffets. I noticed that many restaurants in the area require you to order off of the brunch menu- and I had wanted to order off of the dinner menu.... More
Situated in a non-descript commercial/medical plaza, this restaurant was hopping when everything around was closed for the day. We enjoyed three tasty dishes and saw many delicious looking meals being served around us. Plates of aromatic offerings were enthusiastically consumed in this packed restaurant which offers a wide selection on their menu and includes vegan dishes, all served by attentive... More
I get lunch and dinner with some regularity at the Shalimars in Troy and Delmar and they are always reliable, But Karavalli is a cut above. A little spicy but different than other Indian food. The food is a little pricer than other Indian restaurants but usually worth it. I had the lunch buffet once and that... More
The weekend buffet is as good as it gets. A value @ $15/pp. Great variety including multiple appetizers and at least four desert choices. Excellent quality and fine service. Our family favorite.
