We've been to this restaurant before. It is a neighborhood favorite and we liked it. This time however, the meal took 30 minutes to get to us. The owner was nice enough to give us a complimentary salad while we waited. Out of 3 meals, 2 were mediocre and 1 was good. The steak was over cooked, but the burger... More

This should-be pillar of the community has no identity. You'd think this would be on the order of an English pub. Instead there's a bar with too speakers right above the tables, weak drinks, and this flashing jukebox-like contraption that gave me a headache and could probably land an epileptic with a seizure. A disappointing establishment.

Came here using Groupon. We sat in the dining room where there were TVs at each table. Too much stimulation (esp. for the kids). Kids ordered mac & cheese and spaghetti & meatballs. Good sized portion for the kids. My husband ordered a burger, which was pretty decent in size and pretty tasty. I had the seafood risotto, which was... More

I came here the first night I came to view my apartment in Kew Gardens. It was the night of the final World Cup game and it was visible on every television. The staff wasn't much into working that night because they would rather watch the game. Second time I ate here, my quesadilla was so overcooked that it was... More

I love sitting out in the patio area because I can bring my dog along. I love Mussels Monday, Austin's burgers, and their Bloody Marys are the best! I go regularly and highly recommend!

Original Irish cooking from before they discovered herbs & spices. Famous for being the site where Kitty Genovese was killed, though they have a nice patio overlooking the LIRR tracks.

My wife and I have been coming here for years, but this place has dug itself into a hole that seems deeper to climb out of. The quality of their burgers remains top-notch, but they need to find a cook (chef?) who knows the meaning of doneness. My burger, ordered medium-rare, arrived medium-well. Two tables in our immediate vicinity both... More

We've been going to the Austin Ale House for many years now and are always really happy that we did. The menu is extensive and has choices for everyone in you party including the vegans, vegetarians, meat eaters and those needing gluten-free choices. It is one of those reliable old standbys that provides consistently good food and service. Stop there... More

I have been here on a few occasions. The food is good but not worth what they are charging. Their drinks are way over priced as well. I'm also tired of being rushed through a meal by the staff. Fork in hand and the guy comes by and just takes my plate then asks if I was done. I guess... More
