The atmosphere is awesome, from the outside seating to the comfy seats inside. Awesome bar. Nice dessert display. I had the lobster ravioli, soup of the day, and dessert. Food was very good. Actually surprised me. I hope to return soon...sadly the service was minimal. I honestly think our waitress was high. She was out of it and uninterested. Left... More

The restaurant looks like a high end option in its location, but really this place is nothing specials. Grilled prawns were overlooked to the point of the shell being impossible to separate from the meat. The main course salmon was dry. The service was friendly and welcoming, but the staff really is the only thing up to the standard that... More

The food was fantastic but service deplorable. We had a table of 20 and ONE apathetic waiter for all of us (who was also serving tables outside). He gave himself a mandatory tip of $102.60 (18%) just for the meal without drinks. After I asked the waiter to rush a little since we wanted to get going, there was no... More

Booking a celebratory graduation dinner at Madeline's was a frustrating experience marred by their prima-donna attitude. To begin with, we were required to sign and return a contract with non-refundable deposits of $25 per person. After returning it nearly two weeks before the dinner and seeing the debit posted to my account, I received an email informing me that my... More

When you enter this restaurant, the hostess will ask dinner or dessert- make sure to say both! The dinner is superb. We had the rack of lamb which was perfectly cooked and my husband had the NY steak which was also superb- and the prices cannot be beat with such a delicious meal. Dessert was difficult only because there were... More

i've been to madeline's several times. the dinners were usually good, but too small and overpriced to be a "go-to" place. i've recommended it as a special occasion venue only. a couple of days ago we stopped in to get 2 desserts to go. after spending 5 minutes looking over the options, all the while in the presence of their... Ya know... I thought Madeline Patisserie was a misleading name. Why? Well gee... it is a great dinner place. It has a wide variety of drinks including an extensive selection of Scotch. So... my mind goes toward - sure, let's get a breakfast pastry and 18-yr old single malt scotch! Doesn't quite work, does it... Yet... now I get it...... More

We walked here from the Hilton Garden Inn while visiting Cornell and had a really nice dinner. For appetizers we had salad and samosas, all yummy; for entree we had the duck and steak and both were excellent. Too stuffed for dessert so I can't comment on that, but the waiter was great and if we are ever in Ithaca... More

We had some yummy cakes for dessert at this in-town restaurant. The highlight was the carrot cake. It was super moist and dense with delicious cream cheese frosting. The red velvet cake was also good. The coconut cake was a bit disappointing. I really liked the toasted coconut on top but the cake itself was dry. We never got refills... More

Went to Madeline's for the first time for my 21st birthday with a few friends. We arrive at the restaurant and see that it is empty on one side, which soothed us because we didn't make reservations, since it was a Tuesday night. However, we were told we couldn't be seated until 9 due to a large, 70 person party... More
