The most delicious dinner I have ever had in Hudson. Cheese was delicious, duck was heavenly. Great wine list. Lisa and Mark are both amazing, knowledgeable and welcoming.

What a treat! From the moment you enter you know this place is different. Extremely welcoming staff, a bright, airy and modern interior and a menu destined for greatness! Our party of seven was thoroughly welcomed and shown to our table on a Monday evening,...swiftly and professionally. The menu is a collection of amazing dishes that you won’t find anywhere, new flavours, exciting combinations and a brave chef eager to make their mark. Everything we tried was greatly seasoned and excellent tasting, but our menu highlights were: the corn risotto, the pork chop and the greens. All three were simply perfect. The greens garlicky and light, a perfect start to every meal. The pork chop, tangly, soft and expertly cooked, masterfully combined with olives. And the corn risotto, a dish so amazing he had to order twice! True story… Cocktails, desserts and a smile on every interaction completes a meal that we’ll remember for years to come. Expertly presented, delicious beyond belief and amazingly unique. Credit where credit is due.More

I admit that I came here skeptical after a couple of undeserved scorching views. The bread plate was delicious, enough for the 5 of us, bread was lightly toasted and warm. Worth the $7. My bet salad was great. Bolognese was very good, a child's...portion was almost as much as the full adult portion for 1/3 the price. The duck was moderately tough. The salmon was average. Overall good meal but grossly overpriced.More

I didn't think I'd ever go to another Hudson restaurant that could rival Fish & Game for paltry portions of poorly prepared food at exorbitant prices, but last night at Swoon changed my mind. Their duck confit was bland and consisted of one tiny leg...atop a scattering of poker chip hard mushrooms and a few twigs of some pale carrot-like thing. But, Hey, for $34, what can one expect. The so called gnocchi, for $27, was so overcooked that everything had melted to the consistency of congealed congee, but not nearly as tasty. Oh, and if you tend to order wine by the glass Swoon has a surprise for you, no glasses, only over priced and none too good half bottles. My table ordered three, $25-35 apiece, returned one as undrinkable and choked down the other two, because after all, you have to drink something. Table service is pretty rocky too. Upon being seated our waitress poured each of us a half glass of tepid water (no ice, unless you ask) like that's a classy thing to do. Meanwhile used cutlery is not replaced after each course, which will be served on chipped plates as often as not and when, after a long wait, your food finally appears the server has no clue as to who gets what and can't even tell half and whole orders of pasta apart. BTW, a bread platter is $7 and with one good oniony exception was so pedestrian it could have come straight from PriceChoper. Sorry, that may have been unfair to PC. My guess is that Swoon choose its name in recognition of its victims' responses to their checks. It's the one thing I found that the restaurant got right.More

By far our favorite meal during our stay in Hudson. The mushroom risotto was sublime! Nice atmosphere and service.

3 of us college buddies went for dinner...started with perfect cocktails, moved on to beet salad and bread plate...then 2 pasta specials with side of asparagus..and ended with great ice cream and a tart. but what made the meal even more special was the banter...and personality of co-manager Lisa (her husband is the bartender). she had a great sense of humor (after all, she put up with us!) and when asked, brought out the chef for a face to face compliment. after paying the bill, we were pleasantly surprised with doggie bags with croissants and a small loaf of bread. overall, a perfect dining experience!More

A friend recommended Swoon Restaurant for dinner and he was right! This place was great - we had the cheese plate to start - loved it. I had delicious butternut squash risotto for my entree and I cleaned my plate. Service was friendly and efficient....Will return!More

Imagine a beautiful sunny afternoon and you find a comfortable table in the sun and are treated to a grandiose meal and a wonderful bottle of wine. Well Swoon offers that and to boot the wait staff is fantastic and attentive to your every need....The menu is filled with many dishes that will satisfy most sophisticated dinners.More

I have eaten here several times and find it very average and the staff less than welcoming or informed. The menu is less than appealing and not reflective of true farm to table cuisine. It feels more like an outer borough New York experience and...is expensive.More
