We were passing through, on our way to New Jersey ... from Vermont. Stopped her for lunch and it was delicious. Place was busy but we only waited a few minutes. Service, food and atmosphere was awesome. Doesn't look like much from the road, but it's a great little pub.

I've eaten at the Man of Kent a handful of times. The atmosphere is cozy and the food is very good. Portions are heart and the service was right on point. Great list of beers and ales.

On our way from NYC to Vermont we stopped at the MOK early on a Friday evening as our host was a regular visitor and a huge fan of the restaurant. Sadly the hour long wait prompted us to move on. When we returned a few days later on a late Sunday afternoon the place was still busy but the... More

Wish we could eat here more often, but no matter how we vary the timing attempting to go for dinner, there is always at least a 30 minute plus wait time. They do not take reservations, so one must build in extra time to stand and wait. This gets old. Wish MOK could take reservations, or increase the wait staff... More

I've been driving past this place on Route 7 for years, but never stopped in. Our visit was prompted by a last minute tip that they had an excellent Reuben. We visited on probably the busiest weekend for leaf peepers of the year. Fortunately, our timing was perfect and we got the last table in the place. Everyone after us... More

Wife and I stopped here yesterday on our drive out of VT. Place was crowded but we were at a table fairly quickly. I ordered the Fish and Chips and both were very good. Nice crunchy coating on the fish and the fries were very good and crispy. The wife ordered a Caprese salad and small bowl of a beef... More

We stopped here late one evening as we were driving out of Vermont after leaf viewing. We loved the décor and the friendly feel of a lot of locals enjoying a few drinks. Our server was excellent and friendly. The menu was extensive. Our food, however, was just average. But, I blame that on our choices. When in a bar,... More

We stopped at the Man of Kent Pub on our way to Bennington. It has an English football (soccer) theme. It is perched above a ravine with windows looking out the back. We had the Reuben sandwich and a cheeseburger. Both were good. Our server was very nice.

We have been going to the Man of Kent for fourteen years. It has always been our "go-to" spot when we want a nice and easy dinner out. Last night, then, having decided to give the cook a break, we trotted down the road to MOK. The place is still the same in terms of tables, tone and ambience. When... More

I was skeptical at first given the location but it was quite a surprise. The service was excellent; very friendly and helpful. There was little wait for anything; the selection was huge not only for food but also for beer. The food was excellent as well. I am sad I am leaving the area and can't go back.
