We stopped at Bun Appetite on the way back from a 2 day backpacking trip... we were hungry for some solid food. Our breakfast sandwiches were fresh made, hot and came quickly to the table. My son enjoyed the Finger Lakes Coffee Roaster's coffee choices, we always love Jamaican Me Crazy. Bought a couple cookies for the road on the... More

Bun Appetite has excellent soups and salads but frankly you can get fresher baked goods out of the Walmart Bakery. Frosting should not fall of a sugar cookie when you bite into it.

A very interesting collection of soups and sandwiches. Their bread is amazing and I really enjoyed the egg salad with olives

stopped here after morning ballgame for lunch, what a delight, terrific quiches and soups and home-brewed lemonade... gotta make this an event... loaded up on baked goods, too, including barely cuttable bread it was so fresh... recent article told of 10 New York restaurants whose modest appearance belies their excellence, and this one belonged on that list

we actually hit this place, once on a crhistmas eve day so warm we could actually take our soup (chicken gumbo) on the patio... completely unprepossessing with very casual, but effective, service... if we lived nearer by, we'd be here a lot

this was an unusual visit to a place of which we've always been fond... four soups on board but was met with near disdain upon ordering the tomato basil, a discouraging "all we've got is the cream of spinach"... fine, but it took forever to get it... turns out we had arrived shortly before closing, wish she'd explained this... a... I love this place, Jody and all the folks that work here! Al makes the cheddar ale, BLT, and cheese burger soups that are to die for and you'll only find at Bun Appetit Bakery. Their breakfast sandwiches, wraps, breads and pastries are great too. It reminds me of Cheers only they only serve coffee, no beer and you'll meet... More

Jody and the gang are great! Ryan always remembers my "usual", the pumpkin bar. There are so many treats to choose from, that it is hard to decide...(Except that I usually get my usual...) I love that they care about what is happening in Groton, because they live here, too.

so when we went to Wegman's to ask about a mince pie for Thanksgiving, they asked us how to spell it, honest... not grammar lessons at Bun Appetit, just a delicious, fairly priced example of this treasured tradition, strangely without a top crust, but we applied our own... just a delightful little small-town pastry shop, worthy of a city 10... Bun Appetit has top-notch, quality baked goods, but they also serve sandwiches, soups, and other delectable treats. They have truly mastered the art of making sandwich wraps. I have a sweet tooth like no other, but I can honestly say I might choose one of their wraps over a sweet treat - they are just that good! My particular favorite... More
