Only been here once and must of passed it over 50 times. Not really knowing it was here and even filling up gas at the mobile gas station right next door NEVER even knew this place was there. And what a loss for me them but a "plus" for me now because its definitely one of the top 5 diners... More

First, to my friends in Champaign and Urbana, YES, this is the old Chuck Wagon from Champaign and the old Elite Diner of Urbana. The back room from Urbana is not there, obviously, but the place is still quite recognizable and in wonderful condition. In the 70's, 80's and 90's we spent much time at the Chuck Wagon and Elite... Great diner... delicious home cooked meals... great specials daily. Service is great. Its like going home. Everyone is friendly. My favorite here is anything served with Chrissy's spaghetti sauce. She makes a mean pot of sauce but everything is delicious. If you haven't tried it yet, you are doing yourself a disservice.

Corned beef and hash are from a can. The veggies in the omelet(egg beaters) are not even cooked. A shower of Tabasco couldn't make this taste good, and I've eaten a ton of MREs.

We stopped on our way to Albany, NY for breakfast. We've never been here before but like the diner atmosphere. We both ordered omelets with home fries and toast and coffee. OJ on the side. The food was plentiful and good and the bill only came to $17; which in our opinion is very reasonable for that meal. We would... More

While traveling US-20 coast to coast I was searching for the places where travelers would have stopped in the 50s. This would have been one of them. but not in this location. It was moved from its original 1956 location in Illinois to Detroit and then to this location and restored in 2007-2010. The menu is typical of what would... More

What a treat to find this along the 20 ! I had the vegetable scramble which was freshly prepared and came out quickly from the kitchen. All the baked goods & pies are home made too ... Adequate parking for a truck & trailer. I would eat here again !

This is a diner that can't even get the basics right! We live close by and have tried it a couple of times because of the location and been very disappointed every time!

I had the pleasure of having a late lunch here today. I love VINTAGE.......so this was a great deal of fun for my friend and I. Its a 1940's diner that has been moved and restored, and retains its original features. Prices are right, service is good! I hope to return!

I have visited the Chuck Wagon for breakfast several times, both under the old owners and the new. The latest was just two weeks ago. When the new owners took over, there was obvious signs of disarray. Issues with service and the quality of the food. Based on my last two visits, this period appears to be over. I judge... More
