If you're looking for outstanding seafood and you can't make it to Maine, then you should definitely take a ride to Matt's Cape House in Clifton Park. My wife and I usually get takeout but while waiting for my order I noticed that the staff seemed terrific. They have a great menu more choices than you can imagine, check it... More

If you miss eating at one of your favorite seashore spots, this is the place to satisfy your longing. It may not be fancy, but the food is very good and reasonably priced. Their chowder is just the thing on a cold damp day. We may not be close enough to hear the waves, but we can enjoy a taste... More

I've been stopping in at Matt's for a couple of years now whenever I am home visiting my parents since there are not a lot of Fish Fry Places in Westchester where I live. Ordered my meal at the counter and it came out quickly in 10 minutes or so. The fish fry is excellent. This time I also got... More

Matt's has nice fresh seafood, somewhat a bit overpriced. Ambiance is marginal. The place really needs an overhaul. They do make a really good fish fry and the fish fry platter is probably the best deal.

My first time there. Had the massive lobster roll, which was as advertised, very large. $21.95 for the 1/2# of meat. Still, as I hadn't been in New England, I splurged. The food was very good. Service staff were highly knowledgeable about menu selections and local area. For those visiting the first time, you order at the counter, and dinner... More

I love fried belly clams and so does my son. I brought him and my wife to Matt's for his B'day dinner and was very disappointed. Not only were the clams small and soggy, they had an off taste. The portion was on the small size and the sides and sauces were very ordinary. My wife had a broiled sea... More

A very sub-par meal. Ordered the seafood platter with lobster. Got 3 very small claws that were rubbery and tasteless. Could not eat them. Scallops were watery. Shrimp was not bad. Baked potato had to have been cooked the day before and warmed up. Not worth the $21 a platter. Wasted my money. Will not go back.

My girlfriend and I stopped out here for dinner the other night. The staff was pleasant and very helpful. We both ordered the same thing ... the fried seafood platter. Scallops were tasty, clams were good, fish was cooked perfectly. The sides were very good as well. This is more like a fast food joint rather than a formal restaurant... More
