I admit it, I will drive miles out of my way for Abbot's chocolate almond frozen custard. It's full of almonds, which is a huge plus for me. I might wish for a bit more chocolate in the mix, but it's good enough without it that I'm fine. Just be aware that the hit is more from the almonds than... More

Love their flurries. Service was fast, but not very personable. Not rude, just there. Wanted to get a trip in before they close for the winter.

No, I am not related that I know of! We stopped on way home for afternoon treat. All three of us ordered chocolate almond custard and what a treat it was, chic custard with substantial amount of chopped almonds throughout. We all agreed it was one f best we ever ate. Highly recommend a stop if you are in area.

Best Custard in America! Generations of our family and friends have enjoyed their frozen confections. It's a must do, must eat in Upstate!

I was so excited when my husband decided to stop in the middle of the afternoon for some Abbott's (frozen custard). It has been a while since we've had it, and it was just as delicious as I remembered. When reading the flavors, I was delighted to find Pistachio Pineapple! I haven't had this since college (many years ago), and... More

When we were growing up Abbott's was the place to go, esp for soft serve ice cream...it is not like the old days! It just isn't the same. It is quite pricey for ice cream by the time the kids choose a couple of extras and the ice cream cakes are outrageously expensive, and believe me they aren't worth the... More

for travelers from outside of the Rochester area, this is a no-brainer. They have the best ice cream and frozen custard in the region. Period. This is a well known spot in this area. If you are in the area go to a local Abbotts for a treat. If you go to one of them you can expect the same... More

After a fun day of geocaching, our family stopped for a treat- ABBOTT'S! This is a family favorite. If you've never had frozen custard, it is richer, creamier than ice cream. Made in the shop, it is as fresh as it gets. Of course, they have all of the toppings and cone selections of other ice cream shops...but they've got... More

Yummy frozen custard!! Expensive, yes....but it's one of the traditions of summer that can't be ignored. I was a lover of the Lemon chiffon which they never seem to have anymore, however, my new favorite is Salted Caramel! Wow! So amazing!! Even my husband who has always been a "Vanilla only" guy, likes it!!

Whenever we are in or around Canandaigua, Abbott's is a must stop. I'm hooked on frozen custard and you have to search for it in eastern NY. Vanilla is the gold standard for frozen custard and Abbott's is great in both taste and consistency. My only complaint was with the building. The windows were dirty and the place looks tired.
