Saw a number of reviews praising this restaurant. Tried it, and was not disappointed. Food was good, service fast, pleasant. Just what I've come to expect in a small town restaurant. If you're in Bath, go visit. Won't be disappointed. Cost for breakfast for 2, with tip, $25.

Arrived for breakfast by myself. Instantly greeted with a smile and sat down at the front. Was explained the specials clearly and ordered my food. Fast and delicious meal that was perfectly priced. Will be coming back!

I stopped in for lunch and had a taco salad. The salad and taco meat were good, but the "edible bowl" ($1.00 upcharge) was greasy and tasteless. The fountain soda was $2.50 and includes only one refill... really?!

Stopped in Chat-a-Whyle while traveling through upstate New York for dinner because this place was recommended by some friends. I was expecting more of a better meal. The place had an extensive menu, atmosphere was average, and the food was typical, run-of-the-mill. I must say, the Sticky Buns were the best part of the meal.

We have eaten breakfast here about every month or two for several years. We have had lunch and dinner a few times as well. The food and service has always been good. I usually order my food with a few tweaks here and there and almost all the time is served as ordered. When we are not waited on by... More

This is a family restaurant in a relatively small town. The food is pretty basic but freshly made and at a reasonable price. And yes, the sticky buns are famous and well worth a visit even if it is just coffee and a sticky bun. The mac and cheese is excellent and it is the Friday special.

Great family restaurant serving home cooked food! A must try are their sticky buns! We had a light snack, cottage cheese, one had a sticky bun and I had an Apple Walnut Chicken Salad. They had whole walnuts, cranberries, shredded carrots and grilled chicken over ice burg lettuce. I was expecting a mayonnaise chicken salad and was pleasantly surprised! My... More

This is a small town restaurant that has a nice size menu and delicious full course meals both. I have to visit every time in NY for one of their famous sticky buns. Atmosphere is nice & clean. Sets on an old boulevard in the little town of Bath.

Sorry my face is so red; it's just the way I am when I laugh. Thanks for letting chat a whyle. Sausage was gray but I'm told that's the way it's supposed to be. Also. Fish on bun is subpar. Just some frozen haddock on a piece of bread. I can only see my chest in the mirror. J. J.... More
