An interesting shop almost in the middle of nowhere. Loads of gifts and little odds and ends for sale. Staff was very friendly and bought a few unique souvenirs for the house.

This is an interesting shop and restaurant with delicious home baked breads and cakes. Unfortunately our lunch of pickled fish was a little disappointing - the fish was tough and cooked in too much batter. But service was great from a host of friendly waiters.

I thought i would try them again after the 3rd culinary disappointment. Epic fail. I am a local and never had a good meal here. The venison pie is dry, not enough filling in their rooster brood and the toasted sarmies are not very tasty. If you are gonna charge those prices please deliver! Location is not everything.

Stayed over at Bella de Karoo for the night on our way down to Cape Town. We were made to feel very welcome and had a lovely dinner basket prepared to enjoy on the stoep with beautiful views. Roosterkoek, biltong, green fig and cream cheese breakfast is the best ever! Love it!

Stopped for a quick bite to eat that turned into a long drawn out lunch with good local wines! Fortunately I did not have to travel far. I was pleasantly surprise with the quality of the food - tried the dessert as well! There is a shop with a variety of items for sale as well as a items from... More

This is the nicest little eatery I have ever come across! The barnyard feel is complete with a resident chicken that runs around between the tables in the cafe, crackling fires, plenty of vintage model cars, and a jukebox. The outside is adorned with vintage Chevrolet bakkies and tractors in various stages of disrepair (which adds to the charm), and... More

Returning to Cape Town from a few days in Prince Albert, we stopped at Smitswinkel R62 for breakfast - I have never eaten better!!! For R50 we had the Klein Karoo - bacon, eggs, tomato, corn fritter, homemade bread just out of the oven and homemade preserves. Add to that the company of two beautiful fur-friends and a number of...
