On our road trip in NM we stopped at Penny's for breakfast. It seems to be in the middle of nowhere so it was a nice surprise to get a good breakfast in a clean and friendly place.

I stopped here on the way to Raton, NM, as well as on the way back to Alamogordo, NM. It was early evening, and the Diner was not crowded. Everything is cooked to order, so it takes awhile to get served. The menu is fairly...More

24 hour places tend to be dirty, but not this one. The place was clean, the food was good and plentiful and the prices were low.

We like to stop at Penny's on our way from Albuquerque to points SE. It's got a good menu with breakfast served at all times. Service is good and the place is always clean. Typical diner fare. Good rest stop.

We came across this place by chance and were thrilled. The burgers were exceptional and the staff were fantastic. Definitely worth going in to eat.

It looks like Vaughn is a hamlet on life support, but Penny's seems to be living well despite the vagaries of its dubious location. Way in the boondocks and a rough boondocks as well, Penny's is a shiny diner with pleasant staff and good food...More
