Went here with my family and the in laws and had some great food. I got the enchiladas which were of course delicious. Other people at the table got salads and the stuffed sopapilla and they were happy with their dishes as well. Place can get crowded, we went right at lunch time which was probably not the smartest thing... More

That will be your big decision when you sit down in Michaels. Sitting amidst pretty much all the New Mexico charm one could hope for, do you go for the blue corn pancakes or the blue corn fish tacos, or just combine the two (or any two other great dishes on the vast menu) for the brunch of a lifetime?... Michaels is known throughout the area by locals and visitors. The food is traditional New Mexican along with many dishes found in roadside diners. It is good and plentiful. The staff is friendly and helpful. A stay in Taos without stopping at Michaels is unheard of for our family. They are famous for their breakfast and serve a very good... More

Just passing through Taos from Colorado when hunger struck! The parking lot seemed packed for a Monday so we assumed the locals must love it. Great old feel to the restaurant itself and the size of the cinnamon rolls were crazy! Not so crazy was how great the food was. My husband had the burrito that actually filled him up... More

Don't order crepes with strawberries. Crepes are soggy, strawberries not fresh. All around mess. Famous cinnamon buns ok. Eggs, beans, cheese dish quite good. Servers attentive & friendly.

Many trips to Taos...many meals at Michael's!!! A local favorite, practically a tradition! The food probably varies in taste but not quality! It just depends on the individual. No matter...it is hardy, plentiful and very delicious! The pancakes are excellent with a good variety of flavors...I recently tried the blue corn pinon cakes...so good! Another recent visit yielded beef nachos... More

Often there is a noticeable waiting line for breakfast. People do it because it is worth it. An old Taos building, so its charming. Well maintained, good staff, generous portions. Can't forget the on-prem bakery. They all look delicious!

This is the second time that we have visited Michaels, and were not disappointed. The bacon is tasty, the pancakes divine, and service is fast. Go early so you can get a seat. A line forms most of the time. Oh, and don't forget their homemade desserts...oh my.
