This family owned restaurant provided a very nice atmosphere with good local food. We had a large group and were served promptly and had good service. The restaurant also had a collection of excellent local art on display that also added to the experience.

If you want authentic Mexican food, you won't go wrong by eating here. It's on the south end of Taos. The waitress said the cook is like her grandmother...using old Mexican recipes to create a wonder meal.

A local in Taos recommended La Cocina to us so we stopped there for dinner. The food was very good, but a little bit on the expensive side. We really enjoyed the cookie we got there that was as big as your face!

I think this is the best homemade New Mexican food in town. The tortillas are freshly fried, the salsa and guacamole are perfect. The rellenos are deliciously unique. The only place I eat Mexican food!

We had breakfast at this terrific restaurant and it was wonderful. The menu is large, the food flavorful and the price was right. You get a lot of food for the money!

While Taos has so many Awsome places to throw a fork into this is the very best. I say this as I am a bit of a critic when it comes to authentic and local food prepared with traditional techniques. The building is so cool inside and like other have reviewed the wait staff is perfect. I hope they never... More

For those who are looking for a lunch date that has a sweet ending this is a nice surprise! Family owned and family operated with a flavor pallet that can appeal to everyone. Hidden inside the menu is A fold out American food section, I would not even open that section. You are coming to this restaurant for the family... More

You might not notice this restaurant as you drive by. It's well worth locating it. Service is great and I am never disappointed in the food. My favorite dish is Chicken Fahita Salad. Delish!!

We stopped here heading south from Taos to Santa Fe. It's a non descript looking place from the outside, informal and very nice inside. The chips were hot and fresh, the guacamole and salsa excellent, the service friendly and personable. A great lunch stop for an enchilada, taco or quesadilla.

Good food overall, and about medium in the pricing realm. It's at the very south end of Taos, so it may be a little out of the way for people staying nearer to the plaza. While we've never had anything bad here, two things stand out to make us return every time we're in Taos: the posole and the sopapillas.... More
