My husband and I always check Tripadvisor when traveling to a new destination. Badlands Grill had an excellent rating. The rating was right on target. The food was delicious. We both had the Mushroom Soup. Tons of mushrooms and an incredible broth. I had the filet mignon, which reviled any steak I have eaten at any of the "high end"... More

The food and service was excellent, especially Katrina, who did an outstanding job. Even the other staff were conscientious and attentive to us, making this a totally enjoyable experience. Both American and southwestern dishes. A pleasant atmosphere and reasonable prices. My chicken sandwich was tender and juicy and the sweet potato fries yummy and plentiful. Would go again!

We ordered steak sandwiches which came with soup or salad and choice of potatoes. The steak was tasty and tender. Unfortunately the au jus and sweet potato fries were too salty to eat. I think the chef just had a bad night. The owner was kind enough to remove my entree from the bill. J

This was an awesome place to eat, recommended to us by the hotel we stayed at. The salad was amazingly fresh and the chips were the best I can remember having. We limed the atmosphere too.

Looking for a place in Gallup that was not Mexican and found the Badlands Grill. Food was good as was the service. I would recommend if you are in the Gallup area.

My blackened tuna was good and was cooked the way I wanted it. The baked potato that came with it was not tasty. The service was good. I am not sure which dishes they excel in but I think this place is overrated. There is a nice ambiance though.

Since this was the top rated restaurant in Gallup, and it was New Year's Eve, we decided to go here. Everything was good, not as excellent as the reviews had lead me to believe, but we were pleased with our meals. It was a bit expensive for the quality, in my opinion. Maybe I had higher expectations for New Year's... More

Our hosts' plane was delayed and the wait staff was very polite and accommodating while we waited for them to arrive. The waitress' service was close to perfect. The food was heavenly. This place made our business meeting more like a night of top quality entertainment.

If you're looking for a place that's 100% elegant, romantic, the historic motif !!!! Yes it's a little pricey but it's one hundred percent worth it !!!

Stayed overnight in Gallup on our way to Scottsdale and the hotel recommended the Badlands Grill. Sure glad they did. I can't decide which was better - the food or the service provided by Chelsey. Both were excellent. Highly recommend Badlands to anyone hungry for great steaks and attentive service.

Not a chain, Badlands offers true New Mexico hospitality and taste- for those of you traveling through, it's the place where locals go when they want a meal that's truly a cut above the rest, and relax with friends and neighbors. There's no dress code...no pretentiousness...just beef that's been wet-aged for 21 days, cut in-house and cooked to order...combine these with an ice cold beer or excellent bottle of wine... and you've got the stuff a cattleman's dreams are made of!
