On our way from Telluride to Santa Fe we were near starvation and noticed that this restaurant had 10-15 cars in its parking lot at 1:30pm in the afternoon - good sign. We stopped for a late lunch and are happy we did! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. They have an extensive menu and our waitress answered all of... More

Wife was feeling soup, I had the mendo, it hit the spot. The salsa needs work, tasty but watery, but my standard is Pace. The smaller rooms are a great place to meet n great.

This restaurant is an open yet cozy restaurant with friendly employees, great service and great food. Be sure to order the guacamole, fresh, tasty and plentiful. They also include complimentary salsa and chips which a lot of restaurants charge for now. Salsa is also fresh and has good jalapeno heat that creeps up on you.

Whenever traveling through we try to stop here. It is consistently delicious and LOTS of food. My husband and I each ordered a meal and we should have split one. Brought home the leftovers and made another meal out of it.

I've been to La Cocina a bunch of times, usually on the way to or from Ghost Ranch while attending photography workshops or just sightseeing. The restaurant is well worth the trip not only because of the food but it is really close to the historic sites of Chimayo, the High Road to Taos, Ghost Ranch, Georgia O'Keefe's home, and... More

Good food, good prices and great service. For our party of three, we ordered fajitas for two and it was more than enough food for the three of us. They were delicious, as were the sopapillas that came with the meal. Honey is provided on each table and the sopapillas are delicious with a little honey. Topping it off is... More

The atmosphere is a big family gathering and the food is grandma cooking. Both red and green chile's are very-very delicious. The Club sandwich is so big, you have to take small bites because your mouth cannot wrap around it.

I wanted one more opportunity for some green chile, and La Cocina did not disappoint! Highlights: -Choice of posole for a side with many meals is a nice touch you don't see everywhere - my son's (as a side for his kids meal) had large pieces of fragrant meat he immediately ate first-thing -Sopapilla tacos are delicious - a big... We've eaten at a lot of restaurants all over New Mexico and this, by far, is the best restaurant in NM. The food is first rate, the service is friendly, the atmosphere is festive and cheering, everything is spotlessly clean, and the prices are very reasonable. I always highly recommend La Cocina! My family has traveled the world and La... More

I've only been to La Cocina twice. The first time my experience was excellent, the second time was only average. The food is always delicious - I love New Mexican fare - but the service has been spotty. Don't be in a rush if you eat here. Sometimes the restaurant is very busy, so service can be slow. In any... Management response:

After all, every visit should come with the most attentive customer service out there. That being said, I hope you'll come back soon for more sopapillas as we continue to learn, grow,... More
