Extremely good homestyle food and plenty of it the pancakes bacon eggs and hashbrowns were perfect. This was one of the most friendliest places we have been in the trip. I would recommend anybody that gets a chance of going through this town to stop it's just a small town but well worth the visit to sit and talk to... More

I absolutely love the Eagle Guest Ranch! It is a quaint, little restaurant out in the country town of Datil, New Mexico. I have eaten there twice, and the food and the service are just fabulous! It is nice to get a burger made from beef that was ground the same day. I highly recommend.

When you are in this neck of the woods, there aren't many choices (or rest stops). Be sure to fill up, empty the bladder, and grab some food. Prices were fair. Some neat decor in the grocery store and bathroom.

The food is always consistently very acceptable. This is not a fine dining establishment. This is historical place. It has large fireplaces in the dining areas. It has a small bar. This is the go to place for local ranchers and their families as well as truckers and hunting parties. You can purchase freshly cut meats in their butcher shop.... More

I had early lunch here and was delighted! Menu shows standard SW sandwich/burger/steak menu and also breakfast. Meat carefully cooked to order, salad bar that's very adequate, and service was good. Not to be confused by the two names. My receipt showed the first part, but the other room igoes by the second name! All part of a small groc.... More

Food was good in this unique location. Part Gas station, grocery store, motel and restaurant. Green chile cheeseburger was good, country fried steak as awesome.

My parents and wife watched a show that showcased this establishment. We decided to make the drive and try out a steak. Let me say it was well worth it. My steak was so tender I didn't need to use a knife to cut it. The size was well enough to fill me up. The staff was very friendly and... More

Three of our party had green chile cheeseburgers which were outstanding. Salad bar was very good--lots of fresh choices and pasta salad, etc. Plentiful and inexpensive ice tea plus homemade pie! Convenience store has everything for travelers! Great place in isolated area. Gas station too.

Driving the scenic route from Albuquerque to Silver City, we found the Eagle Guest Ranch Cafe at the crossroads where we needed to turn. How fortuitous, as what we needed and had no idea that we would find, was a decent lunch! We both had green chile cheeseburgers and they were the best, cooked as requested, juicy, spicy and with... PHONE NUMBER DOES NOT WORK! We'd like to go there on Sunday, but phone number does not work to verify hours. Cannot say I'm happy about the place if no working phone.
