Overall I was very pleased with my meal. I ordered a club sandwich that was huge enough to take half home. The waitress was extremely attentive as well. Highly recommended!!

I use to frequent this place as a little girl when my Papa and I would haul hay up to Capitan. We always stopped here for breakfast and coffee. While upon heading to Albuquerque, I decided to take the scenic route and took my own children here. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food isn't anything fancy but... More

This cute restaurant is worth going to just to see the charming Smokey the Bear decor. It is all Smokey Bear: Inside and out. The young waiters and waitresses are just as charming and the food, I am told, is the best in the locale.Three of us had the chile relleno with cheese. It was just as would be expected.... More

We stopped here during our drive through the Lincoln National Forest. Not much places were open for lunch, but the staff here was very friendly and the food was good. The prices were quite reasonable. Burgers are flavorful and I had the club sandwich which was quite large. We got a lot of food for a small price. It's a... More

Everything our table ordered was great. The salsa was as good as in Texas. The chicken fried steak is smothered in green chile gravy.

Good place to fill up on the standard burger, fajitas, fried fish etc. Nothing fancy but the food was good as well as the service. I had their homemade chili without beans. It was pretty good. A little too "tomato based" for my taste buds but lean and plenty of it. My girlfriend had fried catfish. Just typical "fried food".... More

Very friendly service, large portion of food, good taste, and great price. Husband had biscuits and sausage gravy ( $3.99) he could only eat half. I had breakfast taco (2 taco's) potatoes eggs cheese ( $3.99) I could only eat one and a half. They have a delicious green chili sauce. Great for breakfast.

Had a good home style breakfast & terrific lunch time hamburger while staying at the Smokey Bear Motel in the back. Went back for prime rib dinner but I really thing it was a well done flank steak .

This was my 4th time eating at Smokey Bear. The first few were not great, but this was terrible. it was the most horrible food I have ever eaten in my life. The bacon tasted terrible and had black material on it--obviously from a dirty grill. My omelette was awful! The meal grossed me out. Service was better than usual.... More
