My family was in Ruidoso for a softball tournament and we were playing in Capitan. We had 30 min to spare before we had to be at the field and took a quick cruise through Capitan to check it out. We wanted food to go...More

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for a light lunch. The service was very personal, friendly and she kept our tea glasses full. I loved the steak finger basket, definitely homemade.

I stayed in Capitan for three days at the Smokey Bear Motel which was an old motel but good. I thought the Restaurant would be the same. I read the reviews here and was excited to eat here. OK, the positive. The food was good...More

Best place to grab a bit when in the heart of Lincoln County. Nothing fancy but hearty and heaping. Great local hangout to gain information on the area. Centrally located and in walking distance of the motel, and Smokey the Bear museum and grocery store.

I've always been travelling thru town here at odd times but today I was able to hit this place for lunch. Wasn't very crowded, staff were very nice and the food was very good. Had the patty melt and tots, wasn't disappointed. Prices were good.

This is a place to grab something warm to keep you going all day. It's a place to see earl cowboys, veterinarians and a school kid learning the ropes of serving good people. I would go just to watch the people from a different way...More
