The ressraurant isvery comfortable, has a good location, The owners were very hospitable. I could see how the lady was cooking the lunch for us. Wi-fi is perfect, facilities are clean. The food was really delicious, the owners explained the names of the dishes and helped with bus schedule for further trip.

As a native Albanian from Berat (who now lives in the US), it is very hard for any restaurant to compare to your grandmother’s traditional Albanian cooking. However, Temi restaurant on the way to Kalaja e Beratit (Berat Castle) is surely the best contender in Berat. Firstly, having a meal on the way to Kala is done in no better way than eating on a table set right alongside the cobblestone path, immersing you in the beautiful surroundings of this historic city. Secondly, when it comes to the menu, the options are endless. (Usually, this can be deterring as sometimes it insinuates there’s no specialty or outstanding quality of just one dish, however, this is not true at Temi because all options are magnificent.) The waitress is so sweet, very knowledgeable of the local food and sites, very hospitable, and speaks great English. Two of my absolute favorite dishes are Fërges & Tarator and I couldn’t help but lick my fingers by the end of the meal at how deliciously these were both prepared. We also ordered Tave Kosi me Mish Qengji, also an Albanian favorite and equally as delicious. We were on our way out after paying for our meal, when we were offered a fresh watermelon platter to continue our hike up to Kala. It was a very kind gesture! Extremely hospitable and overall wonderful experience!

SUPER!!! I usually do not rate restaurants easily with a five star but this little cute restaurant up in the berat castle offers delicious homemade food cooked by Mum 🤗 our waiter the daughter speaks decent English and offered us a Albanian lunch experience including stuffed pepper and pumpkin (zucchini) with a side Greek salad, a drink which is a mix of yogurt and water and a piece of self-made hazelnut cake with honey and cinnamon. The food was DELICIOUS and the family who owns the restaurant is stunning friendly and warm welcoming their guests. Never have experienced any kind of hospitality being so friendly. Prices are fair and it’s not overpriced even it’s in a touristic place (see picture). Anyone who goes up to the castle should stop by the restaurant and have a break by enjoying traditional Albanian food 🥰

Quaint location in the old town. It’s a friendly, basic place which serves homemade traditional dishes - when it’s gone it’s gone - at a very reasonable price. The have a few tables on the narrow street and a few more upstairs. Safe bet for something to eat.

Loved this little place. I sat at one of their few outdoor tables and tried a few different things. When I went inside to the ladies' room, I realized I was in a home kitchen and it seemed to be a family affair with mom and dad cooking and the daughter serving. I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere in the castle area.

Temi is a very lovely family run traditional restaurant in a picturesque setting inside Berat castle area. I did go here twice! My first experience was excellent - I enjoyed the welcoming feel, the location, and the choice of food for vegan options. I had the stuffed aubergine on my first visit, which was so delicious. The young girl who works here is so friendly and helpful in advising the menu. On my second visit, I had the okra with vegetables. This was a bit bland and not so flavoursome. I had also arrived before the older lady had any help, and she was struggling to cope with the influx of custom. My second experience, in balance with the first, is why I give 4 stars over 5, but if I was to be in Berat again, I would come back. They also serve free cake after the meal, which I think is vegetarian. The prices are so very reasonable and the owners clearly care about their business and customers.

It was my first food experience in Albania. The food was great, as we wanted to try some traditional Albanian food, and the people were extremely hospitable. The food had interesting flavours, I even noticed cinnamon in the musaka which for me was a first. They gave us some desert, similar to a baklava, I think, which was indeed amazing. Great food and most importantly great people!

Consistently impressing with their warm hospitality and delicious, reasonably priced Albanian cuisine, this family-operated restaurant strikes the perfect balance between quality and affordability. The mother and daughter duo ensure that every visit is a delightful experience, offering a taste of authentic Albania that never disappoints. From appetizers to desserts, the menu consistently delivers a satisfying journey through Albanian flavors. It's not too big, making it an ideal spot for intimate gatherings and cozy dinners. Overall, if you're in search of a place that consistently delivers both in taste and atmosphere, this restaurant is a standout choice.

We had a good time in a quite place. We eat traditional food, grilled peppers, grilled chicken an zoup for dessert (like pudding with nuts). We also took a salad for 2 (to eat more vegetables). Note that the restaurant inside the castle, you can enter for free in the evening, not during the day. The slope is hard from the center, but there are places to park near up there.

The owner, a middle-aged lady seems to do all by herself... cooks, serves, buys provisions in the morning...The place is very simple, but cosy : especially the upper floor where there are just 4 or 5 tables w. Small windows overlooking the street. Among the food we've had the best were a mixture of weggies and eggs called fergese, stuffed aubergines for main course and baklava and zup as desserts.

Very very tasty and fresh food!! We had the eggplant and stuffed pepper. My husband is Turkish and he said that it's like the food prepared by his mom, homemade and delicious. Located in the castle of Berat, really worth a visit! And above all the family is really really lovely and friendly. It's my boys bday today (1 year), so they prepared a small surprise by giving us a fruit salad in the number one :)

This is by far the best food I had in my first 10 days in Albania. It's incredibly tasty home style traditional Albanian food cooked with love. The charming house is located insidethe berat castle making it a great stop when visiting. The prices are very reasonable and we even had free fruit served in the end. I can't recommend it enough! Thank you!

We were recommended this restaurant, that is located at the fascinating castle of Berat. We wanted to try typical albanien food and the really friendly waitress, who speaks English very well, gave us some really nice and interesting dishes to try. The whole family is really welcoming. We also had the best homemade back lava there!

Amazing food, great service and a huge heart and kindness describe this place and this family perfectly. We were 4 people and ordered the steak filled with cheese, tomato burek, grilled vegetables, tzatziki sauce, fërgesë and filled zuchini and we were really full and satisfied after eating. I recommend 100%
