Service was perfect, but the meal was a tentalizing experience!! The best ever, not too much but such a perfectly balanced meal! Top quality, starter, main dish and dessert. Bliss!

Following the implied ethos of the chef I was disappointed in the lack of vegetarian options. Although I am not vegetarian I enjoy vegetarian food especially when it is fresh and supporting local farmers. Nicely located near the Drostdy, this small cosy restaurant prides itself on local fayre that is fresh from the field to the fork. The wine list is well priced and they have some lovely craft beers to wash the steak down.

The food served here is truly exceptional. The chefs would be at home in any top rated European restaurant. Combine this with the incredibly good service from Paullette and their location in one of the towns oldest buildings, makes this an absolute must for any visitor to Swellendam. Warm and friendly atmosphere, welcoming staff, delicious food! One of the best restaurants in Swellendam. A must do when you are visiting.
