I am glad we stumbled along this place. I loved the closeness of the tables and your Neighbours. Makes for easy conversations with strangers which is charming and makes you feel like you are attending a dinner party. The food choices are limited but taste great. Like home cooking. This is a must to visit when in Prins Albert.

What a surprise to find a small home based restaurant of this quality in a small town like Prince Albert. From the moment you enter the restaurant Denise and Theuns excelled in hosting us with the best Karoo-menu that you can possibly imagine. The atmosphere was unbelievable with the right music, ambiance and exceptional food. We certainly recommend!

What an amazing experience - it its fine dining you are looking for don't go but for good wholesome traditional fare this is the place to go to - the host/hostess welcome you and are very interesting to talk to - the decor is different and makes for great discussion. The food is excellent and the portions are large. Good... More

It's a quaint little place which does not take credit cards and you bring your own alcohol, but we knew that before we went. The menu is the same every night and consists of traditional home-made food. We had bobotie and some chicken. The owners were pleasant and friendly. The price was very reasonable. We enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere.... More

The menu never changes (soup or fish salad, roast lamb, bobotie, chicken pie and occasionally lamb and feta pie, malva pudding) and it's as if you are in someone's house. So small and quaint. But the food is always excellent and the hosts always welcoming. We have been coming for years and always look forward to the experience. You MUST... More

Wonderful food. Had all three combination - chicken pie, bobotie and roast Karoo lamb - with roast potato, rice and veg. Lekker, lekker, really good food. Quaint extraordinary little place with reality Karoo kitchen offbeat hospitality. If you can't take the heat, best not to get into this kitchen... If you relax into the experience you will simply love it.... More

Fly back 25 years and you have a crew that look after you in that very special way that SAA did. Quirky yes,Fun Yes.,tasty food yes, great service yes and something so old fashioned and yet so special. Menu has not changed much in 18 years .Why should it .It is traditional excellence. Incredible value.
