We had a delightful brunch at the Lazy Lizard after coming from Die Hel and the Swartberg Pass. This is such a special little restaurant - very welcoming and friendly, with shady spots to sit outside, and even some grass where our infant son was able to crawl around. The food was plentiful, delicious, and reasonably-priced. My chicken burger was... More

Very impressed with the food as we didn't exactly order off the menu! Service was a little slow but we were not in a rush. Be hungry as the servings are quite substantial!!

What a totally pleasing, unassuming, friendly, homespun (in the nicest possible way ) the Lazy Lizard is! Karen and the team rise early to bake each morning the world's finest quiche. The bread's fresh and delicious, the cakes are fresh, the apple pie is to die for! I never made it to the muffins and scones, sadly. Then it is... More

Stopped by here today after going over the Swartberg Pass. Lovely lunch of bobotie with lots of trimmings, and the most delicious apple pie imaginable: warm, with flaky pastry and layers of flavoursome apples, with a large scoop of ice cream. Don't pass this place by!

We passed though Prince Albert twice in the course of our South African trip and enjoyed lunch at the Lazy Lizard twice. I particularly enjoyed the lamb pie, like a much superior cornish pasty and the homemade lemonade and mint.

The best apple pie and cream ever. Politely served with an excellent cup of coffee. Not cheap but we'll worth the money.

Lots of salad and sandwich choices. Recommend the ciabatta with creamy blue cheese. Nice outdoor patio. Great service.

We arrived at 2pm-ish after the gruelling drive over the Swartberg Pass only to find the cafe jammed with a coach tour group. We couldn't get the famous apple pie as that had all been eaten. Neither could we enjoy our coffee and cake on the verandah outdoors as the tour coach was running his noisy and smelly Diesel engine... More

The Lazy Lizard is a great spot for good food in Prince Albert. Not cheap but quality food. Breakfasts come with freshly baked bread and toast and an array of homemade jam. Awesome freshly baked cakes!
