Had a great meal with friends here, great value for money and very tasty seafood. A popular place for the locals, which is a good indication

I have grown up visiting Snoekies on family days to Hout Bay... and was so surprised to find it's still here, going strong after all these years. We had the fish and chips, and it is still the very best in the world! Loved it and will be back soon.

A random drive turned into a delectable lunch. Authentic flavours, fresh seafood, old school memories. Dont miss this seafood experience in Hout Bay. Hake, Calamari, Queen Prawns to die for.

Enjoyed Sunday lunch of seafood and chips. Food remains consistently good with fair sized portions. Definately a better lunch time bet than the more commercialised places at Hout Bay beach!

What can one say other than the fact that Snoekies doesn't over promise but always over delivers. Famous for its Snoek, it never disappoints. Don't expect anything more than the freshest most delicious fish (plus slap chips) because you're not going to get it - and nor should you. And that includes table service, crockery or cutlery. Snoekies delivers and... More

I had heard a lot about Snoekies before going there and so my expectations were very high. They did not disappoint at all. The staff were very friendly complete with classic Cape Coloured accents. Food was fantastic, really loved the 'old style' fresh chips, made on site I heard. The fish, their specialty, was one of the best pieces of... More

This place had been recommended by a colleague. We visited on a saturday lunch time. I think we were the first customers. We had fish and chips. They were delivered to our table. Delicious. We sat upstairs and had a great view of the harbour.

There is no better place in Cape Town to eat fish and chips than to eat where the locals eat. Great pricing but that's not just why you need to try Snoekies. It's the original branch and has remained true for at least the past 15 years( that's how long I have been coming there). Nice portions friendly service and... More

Best grilled Hake and salad I have had in RSA. This place sure lives up to its reputation. Great kiddies play area as well.

I had heard rave reviews of this wish and chips place, but was disappointed with the quality of the meal. While it wasn't bad per se, it was an average meal and by no means "the best fish and chips". Still, one should probably visit for the overall experience - driving around in the morning and ending with lunch here.
