As a party of 4 we popped here earlier today. It is set in a strange location where I am sure many tourists miss it. Effectively it is dockside off the main road, you probably need to know what you are looking for. We got a platter for 4 ...this consisted of 4 hakes, 8 battered prawns, calamari, rice, chips... Not recommended. Poor value for money. Over cooked, greasy and bones in the hake. Calamari portion so small

We had dinner there in the 30th. Meal was mediocre at best. Better places are available so pass this one by

If you would like to eat real fish and chips by the sea, do not miss this experience! They have excellent combo's with prawn or calamari.

old world charm with tasty fish and chips 'parcels' the worthwhile reason for braving the traffic into Hout Bay harbor on a public holiday.

We anticipated this to be a long afternoon, so prepared ourselves with lots of patience. It was a beautiful Sunday and the traffic into the Harbour area was backed up quite a distance, however once we arrived at the restaurant the wait was short as the service was friendly and efficient. The fish (snoek and hake) was fresh and excellent.... More

This is a Hout Bay institution....hugely popular with locals and for very good reason....the fish is so fresh you can imagine it's still wiggling...deep fried hake and crispy chips....go on..try it.

The best fish and chips ever. Cheap and cheerful. Local's favourite joint so be prepared to queue on Saturday (lunch), Sunday (lunch) quieter after the lunch crowd rush... but I feel the atmosphere is what makes it so special... As they say "local is lekker"
