We went for a picnic at Allee Bleue this weekend, and were left bitterly disappointed. The food, service and setting is not up to scratch for the area. We paid R600 for two people (including wine), and the food received is not even remotely worth that amount. The wraps were bland, and you could taste the tomato and lettuce were... More

We had been driving for a while and it was around lunch time - suddenly I spotted Allee Bleue. I am a sucker for all things French and on the spur of the moment swung in to the gated entrance. Initially with no-one in the superbly set out restaurant I wonderd if we had made a mistake. Not a worry... More

U3A club descended here on Thursday for our monthly wine appreciation meeting. All made hugely welcome and were treated wonderfully by the lovely young beautiful sommelier... who made the entire experience such fun. The food that followed was lovely, so all in all can highly recommend...

The waitress who's there for many years is The PLUS you need to meet. The food was excellent, a fish cake with a glass of Isabeau and a beef curry with coconut milk with a glass of L'amour toujours. I must say the MCC taken as aperitive needs to be considered. Thanks a lot and stay like you are.

We were there on Wednesday......wanted to experience the wine and food and maybe book for a picnic but we were so put off at the entrance we didn't even want to enter the restaurant. The security Lady at the entrence was so RUDE and made us feel so unwelcome that it was disgusting.

I visited Allee Bleue Bistro yesterday for a quick snack and a glass of red with my mother in law. As I am a local and have been born and bred in Stellenbosch, I did this with a no real expectation and my experience some years ago was quit disagreeable. Was I surprised, my goodness! We had a superb time... More

Allee Bleue has always been one of our favorite wineries since we stopped there on our honeymoon. Either the wine is getting better or our taste in wine is improving or both. Don't pass without stopping, the wines are worth tasting and the tasting experience is quality.
