Glad we stopped here on the purple wine tram tour. We were the only ones to do so and as a result had a relaxed and enjoyable tasting guided by Monique. Very good value at 20R for 4 wines.

This vineyard was just OK. The wine connoisseur had limited knowledge and couldn't tell you much about the wine. My husband and I only liked 1 of the wines we tasted the rest we didn't like at all. The only thing was we could buy bread and Brie which was very good. We have been to many wine tastings in... More

Fun for the kids but lack gastronomic height. Kids get a pizza slice, veggies, ham and peanuts. Adults get the picnic basket. Don't know if they alter the content of the basket during the season but ours contained a wrap, bread, pesto, onion marmalade etc. and an Italian meringue-type dessert. All quite ordinary. Setting is very nice.

Thank you for taking time to give us your feedback , we pride ourselves in offering a consistantly good picnic menu which does not change during season .So sorry however that this was not the case when you visited . Glad to hear however that the kids had some fun . Kind regards The Allee Bleue Team More

In brief, a beautiful setting and some nice wines. We also had a lovely picnic which I would recommend (book in advance). The wine tasting itself lacked energy and the staff didn't really sell the "Allee Bleue" brand/story. No mention of the history of the place or advice on which wines we should try. Even with an order form on... More

We went out to the estate for a family picnic - 6 adults and 4 kids aged 2 - 7. It's a lovely place with great activities to keep the kids occupied. The picnic baskets were generous and the staff efficient and friendly. All in all a great day out

lovely ambience. Friends tried the starlette range. They love it. I bought their extra virgin Olive oil that was produced on site, it was half the price of supermarket price.

We popped in to have a quick wine tasting and stood in the reception area for a minimum of ten minutes without being greeted or even acknowledged. The security guard at the entrance was more welcoming, and it wasn't as if the staff didn't walk past us or were run off their feet. This place doesn't even deserve the one... More

Went for wine tasting, given the choice to pick 4 wine from their wine tasting list. Ordered a cheese and meat platter, enjoyed the platter and some of the wines, good ambient friendly staff. Bought some wines and the the charges on tasting was waived. Also they have baby changing room, which is convenient.

We went for a picnic at Allee Bleue this weekend, and were left bitterly disappointed. The food, service and setting is not up to scratch for the area. We paid R600 for two people (including wine), and the food received is not even remotely worth that amount. The wraps were bland, and you could taste the tomato and lettuce were... More

We had been driving for a while and it was around lunch time - suddenly I spotted Allee Bleue. I am a sucker for all things French and on the spur of the moment swung in to the gated entrance. Initially with no-one in the superbly set out restaurant I wonderd if we had made a mistake. Not a worry... More
