Grande Provence was one of the original Huguenot estates established in 1694. The estate and winery may be over three hundred years old, but the dining room is modern-elegant and the food showcases a wonderful chef who excels in the high-end, creative use of local ingredients with wine parings from this vineyard and other local offerings. Pleasant, attentive service. Port... More

We dinned twice during our stay in Franschhoek- a lovely setting (gorgeous dining chairs, white table cloths, fire place), tentative but not overbearing waiters and delicious foods and wines. I would recommend to have a small lunch if you are planning to have dinner here. We would definitely return and recommend to others.

3rd time I've been here over the past 3 years. And it gets worse as the years go on. Table booked for party of 9 they demanded full payment including tip up front. Before we even arrived. Not enough menus to go round the table. 4 course dining experience with 2 choices on each course to be told the had... More

This is a formal restaurant, in a beautiful setting. There is a set four course dinner. Interesting flavours, some rather strange textures, but innovative plates . We enjoyed the evening. My only criticism is the weight and shape of the desert spoons. They are really weird - virtually impossible for a left handed person. They gladly produced an alternative. Enjoyable,... More

We had a very pleasant and interesting dinner here. The food was excellent (we had the 4 course a la carte menu) and different to a standard menu and we also chose the accompanying wines. I was a little disappointed with the wines but the atmosphere of the restaurant overall was excellent and we really enjoyed our dining experience.

Such a beautiful place and amazing food and service. We had got engaged that day and the staff gave us a glass of champagne each before our meal which was a nice touch. We went for the 5 course menu and it was incredible! We had the wine to match each course and it was literally amazing. Our waiter was... More

This is a beautiful stylish restaurant situated on the large and historic Grande Provence wine estate. We booked on Sunday evening so it was quite quiet. The restaurant is quite formal (given price range) but beautifully decorated and lit in the evening. Great for a romantic dinner or a treat with friends. The food had an interesting array of flavours... More

The setting is absolutely lovely. The art gallery is an added bonus which should not be missed. The staff is warm and friendly. The presentation is amazing. And the food is good. At this price point the food should be excellent or exceptional. The stater made so little an impression I can't even remember what it was. The intermediate course... More
