We booked here for my 70th birthday celebratory dinner and were not disappointed. The setting is superb and adorned with wonderful sculptures. The staff are friendly and knowledgable. The Dining room is beautiful and grand. The gourmand menu was excellent but too much.It is a leisurely meal but the portions for a tasting menu are abnormally big. A great night

This is a great venue, however the service was underwhelming! Almost to the fact that some guests were getting frustrated. The limited release Sauv Blanc as well as the Cab Sauv were top notch!

This was the families first trip to South Africa. We landed in Cape Town but drove to Franschhoek for our 2 day stay at the vineyard. On arrival at the Owner's Cottage I couldn't have been happier. The cottage is beautiful. The rooms are what I always want in a hotel but am often let down. The conservatory where we... More

We visited here as part of our Wine Tram experience and started at Rickety Bridge before stopping here for our next tasting. I was a little disappointed with the seemingly less organised staffing when we arrived, after experiencing such a slick operation at Rickety Bridge they need to pull their socks up a bit here. Enjoyed the tasting but had... More

We arranged a wine tasting for 16 people - we arrived to a beautifully laid table, tasters poured, with nibbles to pair the wine well arranged. The wines were well explained, the host Geraldine was friendly and well informed, and the surroundings were just sublime. Absolutely gorgeous. Wonderful way to end a day in the winelands....

We visited for lunch following a stop off on the wine tram. This was a very good choice. Excellent food and service in a wonderful location. The wine isn't bad either!!

Such a beautiful wine Estate and surrounding , really worth going to. Wine tasting was fantastic with great range of tastings from R25 upwards and not to bad buying a few for the road home. I could spend a good day just sitting under the tree taking in the amazing atmosphere. A must visit

Visited the estate as part of the wine tram tour - and the serene surroundings made it my favourite estate. We had pre-booked the picnic basket for lunch and it did not disappoint. French bread, salami, cheese, crisps, a bottle of wine and water and brownies coupled with the perfect spot underneath a large tree in the garden with both... More

We arrived at Grande Provence not knowing anyone about it nor what to expect. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We proceeded to do some wine tasting. The wines were awesome and we bought a couple of cases which they will deliver for free to PE for us. Because we bought wine, they made the tasting complimentary. We then... More

The architecture, gardens and gallery are amazing, and we had very high expectations. We've eaten extremely well in South Africa, and by all measures this would be another spectacular meal. It was good but the kingklip, a fish I normally find extraordinary, was tough. I cannot understand why and inquired as to whether it had been frozen (no) but it... More
