Had a lunch last at this restaurant yesterday; out of 6 starters and 6 mains nothing was good; west coast muscles sauce was so salty, you wonder if anyone checks seasoning at that kitchen; springbok was edible but bacon in which it was wrapped -...More

A quality dining experience. Lovely menu with plenty of variety but not too many choices. Food quality excellent, the springbok was superb as was the soufflé. A lovely day out especially if you combine this with the Franschhoek Motor Museum nearby.

Since our last visit, a new flower-bordered path has been built around the other side of the brook, to bring diners in to the restaurant from the side. This may not seem much but it really opens up the space and makes for an even...More

At a Crossroads... We have been dining here in the past 10 years and it has been absolutely splendid in the past...but this Sunday Lunch, it has not been at it's usual high standard. Impeccable service... but the main food courses were wanting/lacking.Disappointing.

This is an absolutely wonderful restaurant, possibly the best in the area, and the competition is fierce. We didn't have a booking for lunch, but a charming young man managed to find us a table in the shade of the surrounding trees. My wife had...More
