We went for the sunset dinner. I had blackened chicken Alfredo was delicious, hubby had fried flounder with two sides. Was delicious as well. Dinner came with a nice salad and rolls. $20 each. Service was fantastic. Great value
Probably the best chicken alfredo I have ever had. My husband ordered the crab cakes and coconut shrimp and thoroughly enjoyed both. Plenty of seafood and non-seafood options available.
We enjoyed this place so much. The wait staff was pleasant and the food was excellent. We ate here twice during our stay in wildwood because we loved the food so much! If you do get the chance to go, definitely get the Muscles in...white sauce. We also got to see a beautiful sunset as we enjoyed dinner.More
My wife and I went here for dinner while on vacation and couldn’t have been happier. It was on the expensive side but definitely worth it. There wasn’t a bad thing on the menu, we got two appetizers and two entrees and loved it all.
Recommended by friends, The Boathouse is busy. Their service is truly amazing and helpful, but the food is pretty ordinary. I have scallops and shrimp that are tasty, sweet delicious but unfortunately they are served in this limp tasteless pasta and sauce that takes away...from the overall taste.Diablo pasta is likewise: wonderful fish fresh and delicious but the pasta detracts from the dish. The kids’ food is left untouched: chicken tenders and pasta marinara. They like the mandarins that accompany the plates. And of course, gulp down the ice cream. It’s hard to give a fair rating when the fish excels, especially when the service excels.More
Nice view of marina. Very good service. Food was good and reasonably priced. The only problem is they charged a 3% credit card fee, which they did not inform us of ahead of time.
My wife and I came here for dinner. We came with our family. We were there two weeks ago and enjoyed our dinner and came back again. This time the portions were half the size. We were very disappointed. We called and spoke to the...manager about our dinner, and he didn't seem to care at all and was very rude to us. He stated just what do you think I should do about, it in a very nasty tone. The meals were the size of a child portion. The manager did absolutely nothing to correct the issue. He is a very bad manager and should not hold a job at this restaurant or any other restaurant. Needless to say, we will not return, and will tell everyone about our experience.More
A very busy place, right by the docks on Rio Grande Avenue. They don't take reservations, and it was mobbed every night we drove by, so we stopped for lunch one afternoon. Cordial service, average food. Crab cake sandwich was average, shellfish was average. No...real complaints, but nothing outstanding either. They do seem to have a following, though, so if you're going for dinner, arrive early.More
Been here twice for dinner. Excellent location, right on the water. A extensive menu selection, wonderful service, and delicious entrées. This has become one of our must haves to eat at while in Wildwood.
This restaurant has terrible food and terrible service! We went in mid September 2022 for what we thought was a nice place to go for a good dinner, but we could not believe how awful it was. This was the worst restaurant that we visited...for our entire stay. My husband ordered the stuffed flounder that contained what appeared to be imitation crab meat and the flounder was like eating some type of cardboard. He was shocked and just could not believe that this was what they served, especially for being down the shore where fresh fish is an easy ready commodity and this was the Boathouse, right on the water! I have a seafood allergy, so I ordered the chicken parmesan and I don’t even know if I can explain it, the pasta was like a rubber mush that I have never experienced before and the chicken was so over cooked, it was like eating sand from the beach, unreal. The only good part of this restaurant is the bar where we waited for our table. The drinks were good as was the service, so if you are looking for a happy hour or just a few drinks, you will be safe, but do not go if you are expecting any kind of eatable food!More
Last year we ate at the Boathouse and the food was fantastic. Not so this year. My chicken Parm was warm but not hot. The sauce was watery and unflavored My husbands meal of scallops was a bit better but still not great. The roils...were not warm and they also looked like the kind you bake in the oven but they forgot to bake them..And my husbands water glass was dirty!! Not good. The pros were that our waitress was very nice along with the others that worked at the restaurant. Most likely will not go back again. One last thing they charge you 3% for using your credit card.More
Casual water- front restaurant, with outside and inside seating. We sat on the porch and enjoyed some delicious Cape May beers. Dinners were very good - large portions, artfully plated. I had Mahi-mahi with pineapple salsa and mashed potatoes - fish was moist and nicely...blackened. It seemed odd to put all that on top of mashed potatoes. Plate was watery. Husband had a breaded pork cutlet with dressed field greens on top. Plate was beautiful, but pork was overcooked and dry. Gave 4 stars, because staff was attentive and view was lovely.More
Wouldn’t go out of my way to return. Average dinner, over priced, with ok atmosphere Agree with others who state crab cakes are NOT with the money: strongly suggest to avoid ordering! They will only provide you with one small bread roll per person, even...when you order mussels! How are you supposed to have a good “scarpetta” without bread? The scallops were good, if you’re a fan order the scallops. Desserts: tried the pumpkin cheesecake, flavor was good too bad it was still frozen! Service: Mallory was very attentive and polite and cordial however didn’t seem to “listen” to the answers. When asked “how was everything “ after the entree and the response was “it was average” that should have prompted a follow up question. When asked about dessert and told it was frozen the response was “I’ll let them know”. Didn’t even offer free coffee or have the manager come over to follow up.More
We had dinner here during our stay and everything we ordered (except the firecracker shrimp) was very good. We arrived around 5:30 and there was no wait and we were pleasantly surprised to learn they had a "Sunset Special" menu! By the time we left,...the restaurant was packed and the live music was in full swing. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.More
