I have traveled extensively through Italy and Sicily and have had better street food there than the cuisine at Via Ponte. Via Ponte is simply mediocre and not in the style or preparation expected from an Italian/Sicilian cook (I would say "chef" but that would be denigrating the profession and term). I suggest Giuseppe Finazzo purchase a reliable Sicilian cuisine... More

Excellent Italian cooking and great friendly service. A small restaurant in the small riverside town of Stockton, NJ.

Someone we know who lives locally recommended that we try this restaurant, particularly for the fish and the pasta. It's more of a gourmet Italian restaurant, then a standard Italian restaurant. We have been there a few times and like it! The service is usually good and friendly. The bread they bring to the table is fresh and homemade. The... More

Although the gourmet food is excellent (the chef is from Sicily and crazy ;-) ). We live the pizza and salad. My wife and always enjoy sitting by the oven talking to the owners with some nice wine and have a great time. I highly recommend all the food, plan on being full when you leave. Tell Kate hi.

We stopped for homemade pasta promised on menu. They must have changed something gnocchi not available and pasta not homemade at all. Over priced and inexperienced wait staff made this a disappointment. Order the brick oven pizza and eat out side it looked like that was their specialty not homemade pasta.

This is a very attractive intimate restaurant next door to a great wine store. We had dinner for 18 at 7 on a friday nite, no small feat to address this amount of people during a busy time on a beautiful spring evening. The food was great. All parties liked their main courses. The requested family style apps and bread... More

Myself, my husband and my husbands son had a very delicious lunch here. What is also nice is there is a wonderful wine store a few doors down. We all had Italian Wedding soup which we thought was very good. My husband and I shared a Caesar salad as well as spinach ravioli. I especially like the red sauce. I... More

Could have been better, staff were friendly, restaurant was beautiful, spacious and well lit. Food was okay, tight with the bread, 4 little pieces for 4 people we kept asking for more which they brought. Appetizer was small, I had veal Marsala which was average. This is really more than a pizza place but falls short of rustic Italian food,... More

We dined here for New Year's Eve and it was excellent. Unlike many restaurants, they did not have a 'special, limited and very pricey' menu. Menu choices were the same as a regular evening with the addition of some specials from the Chef. We were not rushed, but dinner was paced very nicely. Not your typical Italian restaurant, but a...
