We ate here because we wanted a place on the water. The view was nice, the food was mediocre, the prices were HIGH, and the chairs were plastic (like cheap pool chairs from Lowes.). The service was decent, but our $70 bill for 2 people...More

Came for Sunday brunch. We ate inside-it's a little small on the inside and can get pretty busy for brunch. The food was great and our server was very nice!

We love this place. The drinks are always well-made and generously poured. The food is excellent, especially the crab newburg and the clam chowder and the service is beyond compare. The cobia was a special the night we dined and it was excellent - firm...More

Martinis on the small side but good. Great food great service and dated but nice atmosphere. We went off season so I'm sure there is a lengthy wait during the summer.

We went for the early bird special, which had price deals. The service was excellent and the server was very attentive to all of our needs, even those who had dietary restrictions. When we arrived, the table was set according to our reservation (including the...More

I understand partially a dress code for dinner. But in summer in a terrace forbid a tank top I think it's too much.

Greeted nicely by hostess. While we did not have a reservation, we were accommodated still. Started with crab cocktail and tuna sashimi. Both delicious. Next came buffalo mozzarella & tomato salad and wedge salad nice presentation. Quality fair. There was live music. A bit loud...More

Was here for a private event. Not very big but nice view of the bay. Appetizers were quite good, especially the shrimp. Drinks were very good. Service was very attentive even for the size of the crowd. The buffet dinner was just OK. Would try...More

Food was mediocre at best . While our waiter was cordial as always, the owner was rude and nasty. My friend and I spent 3 hours there having drinks, appetizer, dinner, desserts, and was told we needed to get an Uber ride home. We were...More

Casual is fine. Khakis and a polo for men, skirt, dress or pants for the ladies. Some people gi in shorts but look out of place.

Description
Owned and operated by the Hieb family since 1987, The Doc’s Place offers inside and, seasonally permitted, alfresco dining in a luxury yacht basin - Harbour Cove Marina. We are open 11 months of the year (closed in January) and serve a traditional breakfast on Sundays and lunch and dinner daily (see www.thedocsplace.com for seasonal hours). Luncheons include jumbo lump crab meat Caesar salad – delicious; cheese steaks and Kobi burgers – the best around. Dinners embrace fresh fish; steaks and chops (our beef is competitive with any ‘steak’ house), shell fish - shrimp, clams and mussels; and accompaniments such as pomme de terre frits, cooked-to-order pasta and seasonal vegetables from New Jersey & the world! Our bar introduced this area to 7½ ounce martinis and Manhattans, poured to a meniscus! Our wine list is an oenophile’s delight. Our limited seating Thanksgiving Day dinner is legendary. Our private parties are spectacular. Try us, again!
