Great Service, good food, clean atmosphere. Will gladly return to the Diner when we are in the area.

This was one of the few places open the day after Christmas. We were greeted pleasantly but waited a long time for our waitress and when she showed up she was flustered and blamed it on a large take out order. She then proceeded to tell us everything they were out of including salad dressings and baked potatoes. Our meals... More

We stopped here on a whim while leaving the shore point we were visiting and were pleasantly surprised! The service was quick and friendly, the prices were great! Now for the true test....coffee...hot and good! We both ordered an omelette. They were huge and perfectly cooked, including the filling of mine which was a lot of vegetables...they did it right,... Food from scratch is often wonderful, food that has been defrosted or cooked from a number 10 can is not that great. This is why I always get the hot chili at the Rio Grande Diner - it must be from scratch !! Why ? It just tastes so good; it's always hot to the tongue and it has heat... More

Since NJ is the Diner Capital of the world, Rio Grande Diner shows why. The food is good as is the service as long as you understand it's "Diner" food and not a 4 Star restaurant. The menu like most diners is large and offers a great variety of food any time of the day and it really is good

We chose this diner because we wanted to taste the local cuisine and did not want to eat at a chain. We had a hot pastrami sandwich and a veggie Panini to go. "Sorry no Panini bread" so we substituted white bread. Which was OK because the sandwich was so terrible we ended up throwing it out anyway. The pastrami... More

The dinner was really good and the strawberry cheesecake was to die for. Our waitress was really nice and fun. Prices were reasonable too considering it is only 5 miles from the beach. Would definitely stop back.

My family ate breakfast here. The food was good and so were the prices. The diner was clean and the staff was nice. My only complaint was that our server did not check on us after the food arrived
