The soul kitchen is great. The food is awesome and you'll want to pay it forward and leave more than the suggested donation Bc the staff is friendly and welcoming and they are all volunteers! The environment is so positive. It's such a great concept. You won't go just once! I've eaten here several times and have always left feeling... More

This place is "the best" great cause and great food. Please visit and make a donation. Everyone is always welcoming and friendly and the tables are setup as family style so you can converse with other folks at your table. Great way to meet people who all have a common goal, support the folks that need our help.

The all-you-can-pay & community supporting concept were the main drives for my visit. We were arranged to share the table so we talked to some strangers. People came here to support with a thankful mind. Food were unexpectedly tasty & presentable! Some of the staff wee youngsters yet they were efficient & friendly . It was a wonderful dinner experience... More

We were in NJ for a concert last weekend, and had the good fortune to have lunch at JBJ. For a suggested donation of $20, you can have a choice of soup or salad (many salad ingredients grown on premises or at a nearby farm), a choice of three entrees, a dessert and unlimited fresh iced tea (delicious). Everything is... More

I heard about Soul Kitchen on NJ talk radio so I decided to check it out. The restaurant is small but comfortable and charming (cloth napkins were a pleasant surprise). Everyone who works there is friendly and enthusiastic (and, I think, they're all volunteers). There are no prices, you pay what you think is fair, and you have the opportunity... More

The entrance to the Soul Kitchen is through the raised beds of growing herbs and veggies. The Staff is so very welcoming. Their love of the place is infectious. The meal was absolutely perfect. Appetizers, main course, dessert, unlimited non alcoholic drinks, all cooked and presented with perfection. Heathy, tasty and filling. When the "bill" arrives, you are asked to... More
