If they can fit 20 diners in here, they would be lucky...the diners, that is!! What a gem! Sure, it's teeny but wow, what a lunch we had! Fresh oyster chowder for starters, an oyster reuben (!!) and a sandwich of freshly picked local figs, goat cheese, spinach and carmelized onions. And what was for dessert, you ask? How about... This is a small cafe, maybe 20 seats with a fairly limited menu. For us who prefer seafood to meat.there was more than enough choices, but diners will not find red meat or chicken on the menu. A small group filled the cafe for a private meal. We had a great history tour and enjoyed a red and purple sunset.Oysters... More

1st time there. Loved it. Quaint small restaurant. Seats about 14 inside. They have an outdoor patio area on the Delaware river that seats more. We live in Cape May and the hour ride was well worth it. Oysters were outstanding as well as their oyster chowder. Staff are all volunteers and profits and tips are given to local charities.... Delightful find in historic Port Norris! The oyster rueben was super tasty with fresh made chips. The fish of the day was perch - expertly prepared. My only complaint was that the fries were too thinly cut and consequently overcooked. Other than that we had a fine 'down the shore' experience.

What a delightful experience and outrageously delicious meal we enjoyed on Friday at Oyster Cracker Cafe! I am an oyster stew aficionado. It's been a favorite of mine for as long as I can remember. Almost didn't get to try what turned out to be the best I've ever had in my life, because Oyster Cracker was . . .... More

And I do mean little! Friendly staff, all volunteers also. We both had real good lunches. Excellent oyster chowder.

Suitable to our needs. My mother, father, and I all got the grilled cheese. My father's came with coleslaw which he enjoyed, and my mother and I got sweet potato fries, which were also delicious. There was only one menu that we all had to share and it was clearly beaten down by the greasy fingers of others, but it's... More

Fish chowder as it is meant to be. Fresh haddock that breaks apart as it cooks, cubed potatoes with skin on so they do not disintegrate as this soup simmers , onion, celery, and fresh milk. That was all and it was spectacular. One of the best fish chowders I had in a long time, maybe the best ever, since... More

There isnt much in the area. We just needed a snack to keep up our strength for heavy duty antiquing and it was adequate. Clean bath room too

The Oyster Cracker Cafe may be the tiniest restaurant I've ever dined. It's part of a much larger complex of the nonprofit Bayshore Discovery Project, and only open for lunch Thursday to Saturday. It's run by volunteers, so the service is sometimes laughable, but the food is excellent, from especially the oyster chowder. The prices are reasonable, the portions not... More
