Much like many others my wife and I haven't been going out much this year but today we made up our minds to enjoy life. After contacting our good friends we decided to go to Harpoon's On the Bay, what an AWESOME experience. Harpoon's has...it all together, kudos to Brady and staff have done an excellent job making everyone feel safe and comfortable. Staff is very friendly and attentive and the food selection is great. Our meals were prepared perfectly, my wife's salmon done perfect, crisp bottom, tender, flakey, servers with mashed taters, asparagus, and sauce over the salmon. We chose Harpoons because we heard it was dog-friendly. It was the first restaurant that we ate out at in 5 months. We went to Harpoons during the pandemic, so it was all outdoor seating. They did it very responsibly too! The requirement was tables...be 6 feet apart, but they had the tables further apart than that. We didn’t feel in danger at all. It was the first restaurant that our puppies had ever gone to as well. We told the hostess and our waiter that this was a completely new experience for them and we didn’t know what to expect. They gave us a nice table in the shade in the corner of the deck. The hostess gave our pups all sorts of loving and they adored her! Our waiter gave them their own water bowl and two cups of ice. The view of the bay amazing! The music they had playing was perfect beach music and it wasn’t too loud that we couldn’t have a completely normal conversation. It was just a perfect summer lunch! Then the food came out… WOW! We didn’t go to Harpoons expecting phenomenal food, but we definitely got it. I had a crab cake sandwich and the hubby and a NOLA shrimp po boy. We shared fried pickles as an appetizer. Everything was so fresh and delicious! The local craft beer was chilled perfectly. The hostess and our waiter said that the pups were a very good boy and girl. This was an all-around great experience and we are so thankful to Harpoons for giving us the opportunity to have it!More

Ordered hot wings received burnt buffalo wings gave me indigestion big time this is third time our food stunk.

Extensive menu, many better than average preparation, terrific music venue around the bar, even hole set up for kids of all ages!

Always stop here, sadly due to work schedules only our second visit this summer. Arrived Saturday night ((10/19) and was sat easily around 730pm. Sadly most of the menu was sold out, except the item I wanted: pork schnitzel. We ordered that with mashed potato...and grilled Brussel sprouts sides along with a scallops dinner. Had the great baked wings for an appetizer. They had a live band playing all night and on break filled in contemporary 70’s dance tunes, which was a solid play. Good place to be.More

Nice spot in North Cape May with unobstructed views of the Delaware Bay. They have nice platters and good munchie food. Get there early because the wait is LONG. There is live music most on the weekends. Harpoons offers a sand pit for the kids...and corn hole to keep you occupied during that long wait. They also have an area where you can dine with your dog. Fun, lively place!More

I had the Lobster Roll and it was excellent. It was stuffed with fresh lobster. My son in law and husband started with the chowder and both raved about it. My daughter and I started with the fish dip and it was delicious with a...slight smokey flavor! My husband had the Grouper sandwich and son in law and daughter had the Cuban sandwich! My husband wants to go back and try one of the platters next time! Service was impeccable even though they were getting ready for a wedding. The frozen rose was good - frose they call it. The location right on the bay is perfect for sunsets! Go early it gets very busy!! My only slight complaint would be that the outside bar area was slow but it was a Saturday and they were swamped! The band they had playing that night was very good.More
