Have been going to Basilico for years for special occasions. Appetizers are OK, and pastas as a main are well above average. But what is consistently outstanding are the deserts. The Napoleon is my favorite, two flavorful sheets of crispy pastry with slightly sweetened whipped cream and custard and fresh strawberries. Make sure to try the fruit concentrate that is... More

While in Millburn on business with an associate of mine we stop for lunch at Basilico.Great salads and panini selection Fresh and delicious the Caprese. My associate enjoyed a pasta dish. Service was on point (we had short time available before our next meeting). Nice decor. Definitely will return next time i'm in town.

Enjoyed excellent service and delicious dinner. The menu goes beyond the basics of most Italian restaurants. Specials were numerous and all very good. Fish and pasta were excellent. Salad options were numerous. Something for everyone. And in a nice area with lots of shops.

Delicious and fresh, always cooked to order, we never go wrong here! This very popular restaurant is our first choice in the Millburn area. The host Mario is always warm and accommodating. The desserts are wonderful. We've been here more then 20 times....and continue to love it!!

It is very special when you find an Italian restaurant that goes beyond the usual. The appetizers we shared were tuna carpaccio and Maine mussels. They had great seasoning and sauces. For an entree I had the Gran Cartuccio Di Mare. It was served in a tin foil packet that was opened at the table and immediately the aroma of... More

Convenient location and good food although a little pricey. While they have only California wines by the bottle or half bottle ($22), you can bring your own and there's no corkage fee. Appetizers are ample for sharing (mussels were fantastic). The veal was a little thicker and tougher than I would have liked but the whole fish was perfectly done.

Planned a surprise proposal at a nearby venue, had my family waiting here for us to help celebrate the night. What a great experience! The staff were so easy to work with, they went above and beyond to help accommodate us. The food was excellent, some of the best Italian we've ever had (the muscles are a must!!!) and the... More

The menu is pretty easy to navigate, and well written. The assortment of salads are likely to please just about any palate. The salads are large enough to serve as a very light entree. The pasta portions are generous as well, so if you want to keep it easy and reasonably health, get a salad and split a pasta. You... More
