We have 4 people who wanted VEGGIE Mexican. This place has some interesting, if not authentic Mexican entrees, such as an Avocado Burrito. Most of the food was bland. They have added some wall murals that look wonderful. The service was very good.
we had a spicy prawn, or shrimp meal, and a Mexican salad with grilled chicken, doused in white vinegar. both tasted delicious. service was friendly, and attentive. highly recommend. will return.
I lived in So California for years and have had my fill of Tiajuana and this restaurant reminds me of those days. The food is filling and plentiful, but it lacks creativity and punch. Ive given them a try several times, but the final visit was the last. The salsa had turned, service horrid and we didn't feel particularly welcomed... More
Let me preface my review with the fact that my husband is Mexican. His parents are both from Mexico. We're in Mexico 1-2 times per year and eat........A LOT. If you're serving chimichangas, it's not authentic Mexican. They don't make chimichangas in Mexico. If you're serving burritos, it's not authentic Mexican. You won't find those in Mexico either. And if... More
My partner spent time in Mexico and when we went to Cactus Charley's he pronounced it the most authentic Mexican food he had since his visit to Mexico. We have eaten at Charley's a number of times and have always found the food to be delicious and generous. The staff is very attentive and most helpful with any questions the... More
Just an easy, informal place to bring friends or kids to. It kind of has that 'hole in the wall' atmosphere. The food is fresh, and staff is nice. Prices are reasonable and its BYOB. We definitely prefer going here over toro loco any.
Its just poor Tex Mex food... many people just don't know the difference, that's why Olive Garden is so popular... fake Italian. The food has the taste of being canned. I'll pass but to each his own. I hope they do well but its not for me.
The service was great. The portions are huge and my wife and I split what we had, and our friends did not. There was more than enough food for everybody. The salsa is fine, and so is the guacamole, because, well, if you're at a Mexican restaurant, you're stupid if you don't have these. They do serve the guacamole in... More
Delicious authentic Mexican dishes to satisfy those looking something different. The margaritas were really good, and we were even allowed to bring out own alcohol to that they used. The staff is very friends and treats everyone like family. they are also very willing to cater to the personal taste of their customers. My friends and I have expressed our... More
