Our group of four had their "piled high" (extra charge) pastrami and corned beef sandwiches; all excellent. It's not the type of meal you want to eat too often; however when the mood strikes, this is the place to go. BTW; our waiter was excellent. There is new management here and I think they are trying to get it right.... More

Drove to Irving's for lunch with coworkers. We all got sandwiches to go. All of the sandwiches were made to order. I got Irv's Reuben and it was really good. I'm picky about Reubens and usually don't order them because they are typically lacking but this one was very tasty. Seems like it took a while to get our food... More

I truly don't know how this place stays in business, they must have a very good lunch crowd. We've gone there several times in the evening and there might only be the only ones in there. Service is not the best, your food can sit on the warming section and the waiter just stands there checking his phone. They also... More

Stayed in Livingston for one night for event and found Irving's by chance, after we found our hotel. What a treat for us, since classic NY style delis are not easy to find these days. The pastrami and the 3 meat sandwiches were the best ever! Great pickles and coleslaw. Side of chopped liver- generous. Too sweet for us, but... More

Food was decent. The service was lack luster. A customer that was there ate all of their food and then refused to pay saying it wasn't any good. Maybe that is true, but I felt bad for the restaurant that seems like they are trying to make improvements I personally believe you shouldn't eat over half and then complain! The... More

Ok....so, Irving's had a couple of months there were it was questionable. However, they now seem to be hitting their stride. I was there recently for a business lunch and I was happy to see that the pastrami was back up to standards. The pickles and coleslaw were fresh and tasty. The potato knish was hot and the mustard spicy...the... More
