I came in with a few friends for a quick meeting in between lunch and dinner, so we did not have sandwiches or full meals. From what I could see of other diners' plates around us, the sandwiches looked very large. We shared appetizers, soups,...More

For good ole fashioned, authentic Matzo Brei with Onions or Nova Lox and Onions Scrambled Eggs- this is the place. Looks completely redone, clean restrooms, solid menu and pleasant service. Also sell assorted chocolates, black n white coolies and delicious smoked fish, bagels with trimmings....More

Have been eating at Eppes Essen for 40 years. Owner Josh does a great job and his long time staff are wonderful. Food always in large portions and very good.

Make a detour, change your plans, set aside a half day to come here and eat a plate of pastrami. The rye sandwich is utterly superb....generous, fresh and tasty. Served with great charm and free pickles and cole slaw.

Went to the establishment to get some sandwiches. Turned out to be a great experience. The pastrami was the best I ever eaten as was the corned beef. The cheesecake was also good. Highly recommend this place for eats. Kind of expensive but worth it.

Classic deli with ginormous sandwiches, each one of which can be a email. Great desserts, too. No alcohol.

My cousin was in from California and was craving Matzo Ball Soup. The only place we knew where to get it was Eppes Essen. We have not been there in over 20 years and were totally shocked over the prices. The pastrami was very lean...More
