I didn't get any sweets here but I did get this pastry filled with spinach, and this other pastry filled with eggplant and zucchini. The spinach one was a bit dry. I really enjoyed the eggplant and zucchini one because it also had some tomato sauce (?) in it, so it gave it a nice flavor. Judging from the rest... More

Stopped in for a little snack as we were walking along the strip in Hoboken. Great little cookies that my girlfriend loves and they did not disappoint even a little. Also grabbed a great little bottle of Apple juice, the Gentleman working the counter said it was really good stuff and he was absolutely correct. really glad we stopped in.

This is a family owned small bakery, even though it says German bakery it is more like a French bakery. The pastries are excellent, the bread, the coffee are good and the prices are ok; not cheap but not expensive just right. The owner is very friendly and helpful. I will definitely refer my friends and go back.

Nothing authentically German about this bakery. Terrible coffee, overpriced and the most awful commercial looking confectionary you can imagine. Wasted my time here.

Stop here for fresh pastries and coffee. The coffee was rich flavored without being bitter. There is a wide variety of pastries that are fresh and delicious.

My grandparents owned several bakeries in Germany, so of course I HAD to stop here! We picked out one dessert to share. Big mistake. I'm debating locking myself in a closet to eat the entire thing. So fresh and delicious. It's nice to have something a little bit different from the norm every once in a while. The owner was... More

Bakery is delicious - large variety of German desserts. Owners/staff are German and are able to give recommendations about different items. Recommend going in the evening - everything is 50% off (although selection is sometimes limited!).

I lived in Hoboken for years and this was my go-to bakery in town! The pastries are fabulous (Hazelnut croissants, Chocolate Mousse, Donuts, you name it). They used to have these round sugar donuts that were THE BEST. They are famous for their bread (customers from all over NJ pick up their loaves of bread each week). And the owner... More

You'll find wonderful cakes/pastries and breads here! We love going there for a good cup of (freshly ground) coffee, nice background music, friendly and patient service (they'll explain all the different items they carry). It is not a big place, but now their outdoor area is open again - so you can also do some people watching - love that!

Thank Baerkel
