I tried this place a few years back, and I thought it was only okay. I'm not sure if there are new owners or chefs, but I ate breakfast here this morning with my daughter, and it was excellent. I had the "fluffy omelet" with...More

The menu is fabulous, the atmosphere is excellent, and they have fantastic bloody Mary's! We make it a point to stop here every December and have breakfast at least once. Make sure you have the bread basket.

I ate breakfast both mornings at The Mad Batter. The Carroll Villa added a new breakfast room; bright, open, airy. Seating was lovely. Server's were wonderful. Food excellent.

The restaurant was on our list to do this trip because of all the good things we had heard. It was a lovely night for porch dining. Unfortunately the crab cakes I ordered were dry and lacked crabmeat and the cost was not worth the...More

This is one amazing breakfast. My daughter ordered the buttermilk pancakes and I got the oatmeal pancakes, which were a bit more dense. Both were incredible. We added a side of bacon (incredible bacon!) and some potatoes. My husband got the eggs with toast. Everything...More

Breakfast is a treat at the Mad Batter. In addition to many traditional offerings they have interesting specials as well. The ingredients were fresh, service was attentive. And not much beats enjoying a good meal while sitting on a porch on a sunny day!
